How do I get my links in Twitter to post to Delicious?

Is there a way or tool to easily wed Twitter to Delicious, through sickness and in health? Preferably more health... I have been using Delicious since 2004 to save bookmarks, so I can access them anywhere. However, since the advent of Twitter, I find myself just posting links to it, in order to spread the word of something interesting, quickly. I still want to keep a copy for my "records," though.

How might I go about doing this, without having to essentially double post? Ideally, I would like some tool that detected when I posted a link in Twitter and automatically added it to Delicious, too, perhaps with the full tweet's text in the link description area. I'd like some solution for tagging, too, but I realize that may be asking for too much, really.

Does anything like this exist? I found out about twitticious, but it seems to have issues. That was also posted a year ago, so I'm hoping that there are some newer tools out that I'm not aware of. Help me, guys!

Help me Hyperlink & Bookmark in Word

How do I hyperlink across Word Documents? Hopefully, I can explain this with some clarity:

In a folder, I have a set of Word documents, one of which is a "master" document that acts as a table of contents for the rest of the documents (but is a separate document). The master and remaining documents are contained in one folder. Something like this:

Folder A contains:
Master document A
document B
document C
document D, and so on.

In the master document, I want to hyperlink to another document in the folder, and if possible a particular section within that document.

So, I know how to make a hyperlink from the master document to, let's say, document C...but is it possible to have the link point to a particular section of document C, like text on page 10, for example?

I've looked up bookmarking in Word's "help" section and know how to make a bookmark...but don't know how to hyperlink to that specific bookmark (from an unrelated document, i.e. the master document), or if it's possible.

Any help appreciated!

Choose Yahoo Bookmarks or Furl?

Help me choose between going with Furl or Yahoo Bookmarks. I'm choosing between these two because they have the things I need:

1)online only
2)cache copies of web pages and will search on web page text
3)free
4)bookmarks can be kept private by default

I need help deciding which to commit to using. I hope to not have to change for many years.

(btw, I don't need or want any other Yahoo services)

Thanks.

Need an alternative to MyHQ for my homepage(s).

Need to find an alternative to MyHQ.com. MyHQ is a web-based homepage that is simply lists of links that you can add to, customize, and organize into categories. You set it as your homepage, and voila!, every place you regularly visit on the internet is right in front of you. Their site is currently down, which has happened before, but this time I fear its for reals. I am literally lost without it (not to mention the 100+ organized links that I no longer have access to). This is different from social bookmarking (please do not recommend delicious.com; its a wonderful site, but won't suffice for this purpose). This would be like if you had access to your computer's bookmarks list as a homepage, from any computer, anywhere. There has GOT to be another website that is comparable to MyHQ. Anybody know what that is?

Thanks. I'm staring at the blank browser window and am completely clueless without my handy homepage! (I actually had to TYPE "ask.metafilter.com" into the URL bar...oh, the horror!)

Furl - is there an alternative free online bookmarking service that saves a copy of the page?

Furl - is there an alternative free online bookmarking service that saves a complete copy of each page? I've been using Furl - http://furl.net/ - for a while now, and quite like it, but it's got some issues like not saving pages properly, usability issues, poor searching, etc. Does anyone know of a good bookmarking service out there that does the same job as Furl - particularly saving a copy of the page on their server as well as bookmarking the actual link - but has better usability and searching, and is more reliable?

Suggestions for paid services as well as free would be great. Thank you very very much :)!

I'm looking for a full featured bookmarking service

I'm looking for a full featured bookmarking service I am currently looking for a bookmarking service that will help me aggregate articles and blogposts that I think would be relevant to my clients. It would basically be a service which will allow me to post links and add a description of my own with a separate homepage that aggregates all the posts and display them in one page so clients can visit the page and read the posts. (Something similar to Tumblr but with more features)

Here are the features that I’m looking for:
Tagging – I want to be able to divide articles into separate categories
Exporting to email – There will probably be quite a few people that will not be visiting the homepage so it is important to have exporting to email ability
Customized pages – Since not all posts are relevant to all of the clients, I would like to be able to customized pages for each client and pick out and display posts that are relevant to them.
Multimedia linking – linking of pictures, audio, and video.

Thank you so much!

Group Bookmarking

Know of an online collaborative bookmarking tool for within a closed set of users ? Of course, there's I'm looking for an online service that will allow my small team in work to collaborate on a set of internet bookmarks/favorites (whatever you want to call them) but within our group only - not open to the public. Sort of like a hybrid between del.icio.us and irows, and equally free and easy to use. Any recommendations ?

I think I can make it taste better.

I'm trying to clean up my del.icio.us links... After creating a number of tag bundles and deleting and renaming superflous tags, I still find myself wanting to straighten up my del.icio.us links a bit more. Specifically, I'd like to batch edit a number of links at a time; that is, I'd like to add/remove a tag from a number of links at once, but not necessarily all links marked with that tag. Is there a quick way to do this? I did find Delicer, but would prefer something that I didn't have to download. (In the spirit of being oh-so-meta, I have, of course, browsed del.icio.us links tagged "del.icio.us," as well as this page.)

Secondly, I've been using del.icio.us director for some time as it's been the only usable UI I've seen created for the service, but would like to hear from others on del.icio.us interfaces that they've found clean, compact, quick-loading, and feature-rich (e.g. ability to edit links from within the UI). Danke!

More private alternatives to del.icio.us

More private alternatives to del.icio.us for social bookmarking within our company? We would like to use del.icio.us within our company to share bookmarks relating to industry news, best-practices, competitor activity and the occasional funny site. We'd like to be able to summarize the link, but by using del.icio.us they would have to be very generic, as we don't want to do our competitor's work for them.

Is there a more private social bookmarking site that we could use that would be password protected but still have the wonderful del.icio.us features outlined below?

Required del.icio.us traits:
- Tag bookmarks
- Get RSS feeds for the entire account and specific tags
- Easy bookmarking via a browser button or similar
- Multiple people can bookmark and view (but controlled, we're fine with sharing an account/password)

not so social bookmarking

Whats your favorite (social) bookmarking site? Please read details inside. I am enjoying Spurl.com as a bookmarking utility because I am able to access my bookmarks from anywhere. (sorry, I don't make much use of the "social" aspect, other than sharing my bookmarks).

The thing I really love about Spurl is the Spurl bar, which pops in on the sidebar just like Firefox's internal bookmarks. The thing I hate about the Spurl bar is it's kind of clunky, and could definitely benefit from some AJAX love.

I have tried "Another Del.icio.us Sidebar", but I prefer the folder structure to tags.

Are there any other bookmarking services out there with something similar to the Spurl bar?

How do I start making my own social bookmarking site, is it worthwhile?

I want to create my own social bookmarking site. I don't know much about coding, but I've got some good ideas. Is this possible? How do I begin? Am I insane/idiotic for even contemplating this? I've investigated the dozens of sites offering social bookmarking+ (del.icio.us, furl, shadows, myweb 2.0 etc. etc.). They are all very similar, simple variations on a theme.

I have lots of ideas about how this concept can be extended and improved, and if I knew how to do it, I'd be working on it right now, for the greater good of all the net. Unfortunately I know very little about coding.

So where do I go from here? Reveal my ideas and hope someone wants to help? Pay some indian programmers to sort it out for me? Or just forget the whole thing and wait until the big boys (google, yahoo, delicious) get their act together?

Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated, as I need to know if driving myself nuts thinking about this is a big fat waste of time or not.

How do you archive your bookmarked articles and sites for quick recall? I've always been incredibly impressed at the ability for some to post a link to an article they've read a year ago at a moment's notice. How do you find it so quicky? Google? extensive Firefox bookmarks? Del.icio.us? What I've been doing lately is sending emails to my Gmail account and assigning tags in the body that I might connect the article.
Are there any sites that allow sharing of images downloaded from the web; or of collections of bookmarks; and do any of them combine this with social networking?

this is a multiple question:
a) images
b) bookmarks
c) social networking ive asked these questions many times and have searched high and low for the proper forums but i have never found satisfactory answers, so i hope you dont find them silly.
a) i have over 1000 images in like 50 folders that ive saved from my days of web browsing, and i have -never- seen a good image collection on the internet. I long to have an image collection swap meet. To give you an idea of what i have, its folders like 'fine art' 'alternative art' 'contemporary art' 'design' 'funny' 'photography' etc etc. Ive recently learned a trick from my pals at #mefi that you can add 'parent directory' to your google search for images and you might find someones image folder. Ive played around but havent found anything. Does nobody collect images from the net? Is it a copyright issue that people arent posting them? I dont get it...

b) the same thing for bookmarks: i would love to see other people's bookmarks. Again i have over 1000 in 50 folders. Finding links is easy, but id love to see what people's 'core' bookmarks are. Again little success finding these posted. I threw up a crap website with a zip of my bookmarks folder, but it didnt cause quite the rebel uprising that it should have. I dont get it...

c) social networking: you know how with sites like friendster you can write your interests and you can link to other people that wrote the same words that you wrote... well big deal. I think a successful site is going to have to get inside your head to make matches. If i could cross reference my bookmarks with other people's and it told me 'there are 134 matches' i would be like 'ok, i have to meet this person'. Hmm?
