Where are the discounted games?

Why does a club similar to BMG or Columbia not exist for PS3 games? I realize there are online services similar to GameFly and rentals available at BlockBuster and used games at GameStop, but I'm looking for new games to purchase rather than rent. I'm interested in owning more games, but not interested in paying full price for new games.

Did anyone receive an album they liked from either Columbia House or BMG's selection of the month?

Did anyone receive an album they liked from either Columbia House or BMG's selection of the month? I am amazed that when I talk with friends, there is almost universal enmity towards the automatic selections that Columbia House and BMG would send out unless you sent in a card specifically declining that month's selection. My two most memorable shipments were "Songs for a Soulful Wedding," which I must have received due to checking off that I like 'Frank Sinatra' type music, and a Hall & Oates album that my brother got. Now I know some of you are thinking that Hall and Oates sold a lot of albums, but even if he was a fan (which he's not), this was no album with "Man Eater" or "Kiss on my List," it was 1990's "Ooh Yeah".
What other albums did people receive?
What kind of heuristic did these music clubs use to determine shipments? Was it related to over printing?
Did anybody get an album they cherish?

Getting around Sony BMG DRM on a Mac...

I have a friend who has a Sony / BMG DualDisc of Nina Simone. Not only will the CD side of it not play in her Mac, the Mac spits it out immediately without even allowing you to access it from the desktop. What gives? Any way around this? She wants to get the songs onto her iPod. She writes: "The information re: cd - Legacy Recordings - Sony BMG , "The Soul of Nina Simone", bar code 2876-71973-2"

I thought DRM stuff didn't affect Macs.

Oh, and she's on OS X, but not Tiger--whatever was before it.

We tested the CD and the DVD sides in her DVD player and they both work fine. The DVD side also plays fine in the Mac, just FYI.
