I'm looking for some really hard, heavy blues rock to listen to because an entire playlist made up only of Led Zeppelin, the Black Keys, and Jimi Hendrix gets kind of repetitive after a while. Can anyone recommend artists along the lines of those three? I'm really looking for stuff that is loud, in-your-face, sexy, maybe psychedelic, and HARD.
Can you identify this classic/blues rock song from a 4-bar GarageBand remake of a guitar melody? [more inside]
I'm looking for an excellent jazz/blues/blues-rock bar in Philly. Grizzled old guys on their guitars, grizzled old patrons, bad lighting, laid-back bartenders and a relaxed atmosphere with a little bit of room to sway if you're feeling it. If you've ever been to the Cat's Eye Pub in Baltimore, something like that. [more inside]
SongSearch: The other day I heard a terrific bluesy rock song and I'd like to know the artist/band. The vocalist has a great sneering style - sorta like a Jagger/Van Morrison hybrid. Lyrics were cliched "rolling down the highway" type stuff but man, it sounded so good. Anyone have a clue who I'm talking about? Think Allman Brothers fronted by Johnny Thunders.
