Heard a song at work on the Muzak, googled it, couldn't find it. It was a female singer, jazzy-sounding. I recall her mentioning the "humdrum blues." The lyric I wrote down was "work like a dog but I'm mighty poor." I googled "humdrum blues," but what I found was a different song, and googling the lyrics got me nothing.

Can you think of any other blues-rock songs with the same rhythmic pattern as Norman Greenbaum's "Spirit in the Sky" and ZZ Top's "La Grange"?

BluesFilter: A couple of years ago, a friend and I were flipping past the blues channel on XM radio, and stumbled across the one of the funniest songs I've ever heard. I want to find a copy for my friend for a Christmas gift. Of course, I have no idea what the song actually is. Help me, O HiveMind! [more inside]

Name that tune please :: PBS is great, and the songs in their promos are actually just as good. Currently running is a promo that ends with the words; "Be More ~ ThirteenHD" (this is PBS Thirteen's High-Def channel which they broadcast in NYC & possibly elsewhere?). The music which accompanies it is a piece that I'd classify as sort of a Blues/Rock/Jazz instrumental.
My Question: Name that tune!?!
