I like Ricky Gervais' blog
. I would like to keep up with new posts, but I don't want to have to go to his website. He doesn't have an RSS feed, and when I put the URL in Bloglines (my feed reader), it comes back as having no feeds. Short of using some sort of blog 'scraper' to create my own feed (I've tried unsuccessfully to do this), does anyone know if someone has made an RSS feed (through FeedBurner or something) for his blog?

I'd like to set up a 'lifestream' on my website, logging all my online activities automatically and in real-time, similar to Friendfeed
but that doesn't require me to be part of someone's idea of the perfect social network. Is this possible and if so, how? [more inside]

I've been doing some thinking lately about blogs. It seems that most of the really popular, successful blogs stick to one topic or another, pretty well defined (food, books, politics, celebrities, etc.).
Are there any really popular or successful (in the sense of widely-read, or just good to read) blogs that are about a variety of topics, or that take the 'one person's views on a whole bunch of things' model?

DESIGN-FILTER: A friend recently finished freshmans year of a Product Design course, coming home raving about how much he enjoyed it, and how design can save the world. He is very honourable in his intentions, but not very internet savvy. For his Birthday I'd like to compile a selection (and summary) of the best blogs and articles that someone involved in product design should read, things that will inspire him, and will give him the sort of superb extra-curricular knowledge that the web contains, and a wider perspective. I really like looking at pictures of beautiful/clever/interesting products. What are some frequently updated blogs that feature good pictures of really cool stuff? I'm talking about pictures of clothing, gadgets, prints, handmade goods, kitchen implements...pictures of almost anything tangible, and the featured items don't have to be for sale. [more inside]
