Art blogs... I teach high school art/technology classes and I am looking for blogs that have to do with art. Specifically elementary thru college student artwork. But other school appropriate art blogs will work.

I'm told that my weblog's atom feed is broken: according to feedvalidator.org this is because 'my feed appears to be encoded as "utf-8", but my server is reporting "US-ASCII". Is it advisable that I should persuade my server to report an 'utf-8', ecoding, and, if so, how? [more inside]

I'd like to recreate the thrill I used to get reading NON-fiction articles in the pre-Tina Brown "New Yorker" (yeah, I know she's no longer the editor, but I can still smell her when I get too close to a current issue), and I'm wondering if I can do it online by following a group of literate blogs (or other online resources?). Please Help Me. I need a blog. I am so busy and scattered, though. I post stuff all over the place, and I try to connect with folks with snippets. I think a blog would work for me, even in it got few hits. But since I am so busy, I don't have much time to learn detailed shortcuts, software, etc. I would like to find a place on the web where it is easy to post stuff in a cool layout, including of course links, pix, etc. Maybe with sidebars, contact info, etc. It would also be nice if it were within a community of bloggers. And maybe "Blog" is the wrong term, as it might be simply a personal web page. But a blog seems more interactive, and I want that. My interests are eclectic, but they include radical social, and personal, change. Will you please help me with ideas? Thanks! [more inside]

I enjoy the often-derided NewsFilter type posts, epecially the comments and links provided in follow-up. These days, Canadian politics has become interesting, but I haven't found a spot on the web where ideas, information and links of MeFi caliber are posted on this subject.
Are there any Canadian politics oriented blogs or forums that are worthy?

I'd like to extend the functionality of our sites, but the number of plugins available is a little daunting. What plugins do you use?
