OK, I'm teaching a 3-hour seminar on blogging--to be specific, it's not about the technical aspect, but for writers hoping to use a blog to promote and enhance their own writing. What should I be sure to touch upon?

I'm in the process of starting a group blog that covers a couple of college football conferences. I'm not making any money off this and have no plans to in the future. Its a love of the game thing for me. It seems like it would be easy to find folks interested in college football to blog, but I'm having a tough time.

I had a blog for many years that I let wither on the vine. I no longer have the site, but I *do* have an export of my Movable Type entries.
Is there any way to get this printed ? Any companies that will work with a file? Other blogging tools that take MT exports that will produce a printable version ? I'll settle for any solution, from a bound book to straight-up printable pdf.

I have been using
reblog to combine two feeds (for a
blog and a
forum) which I then publish through Feedburner. What I want to do is have the
blog part of my feed update normally (i.e. individual posts) and the
forum part of my feed compiled into a daily link list (which itself is published as if it were ONE feed post each day)... What ways exist for me to do this?

Back in 2004 there was some
speculation about the bulge on Bush's jacket, that started on the internet and eventually got the attention of the mainstream media. I'm looking for similiar examples, where something that started as talk on the internet eventually got the attention of the more mainstream media (such as TV and newspapers).

Ghost-writing multiple corporate blogs for a living. Is it feasible? Do companies all want exclusive rights to the content -- thereby removing the option of leveraging the same content on multiple blogs? (I'm aware there are clearinghouses that will market your blogging, but I'm not talking about that type of piecemeal work.) Any bloggers out there who are employed by multiple corporations?

A colleague of mine, as well as a fellow blogger, used BlogFlux's MapStats to track hits and referring addresses with his TypePad site. Now, he's switched over to LiveJournal, which doesn't allow Javascripting, so he's lost the ability to track referring addresses. Does anyone know of a free HTML counter that he can use that will track referrers? He's found some HTML counters that can log hits, and some others that can track referrers with Java, but he's looking for the best of both worlds. Thoughts?

I hope you guys can settle an argument for me about Blogger.
Each Blogger user has a unique profile id. eg blogger.com/profile/XXXX
XXXX is in running numbers. The smallest number is the earliest blog. ie
blogger.com/profile/1 belongs to Blogger's founder.
XXXX stays with you, until you delete your account. There is no way to change it.
Even if you change your user name, profile etc.
My friend maintains that it changes with your username.
So which is which? My Google-fu has failed me, for this instance.

I have a lovely Xanga skin for my blog, but weirdly it appears to be the only skin which doesn't include an option for a reader to go back and look at my previous posts, and despite my Googling, Xanga-ing and trying to work it out, all I've done is muck it up good and properly.
So, can anyone suggest what code I need to enter (preferably by cutting and pasting!) into the middle of the three boxes at the bottom of my Xanga code to allow people to go forward or back as far as they like? The source I'm using at the moment is at my blog page, here: http://www.xanga.com/timpollard
Many thanks in advance!

Blogging in the classroom. I've decided to set-up a blog for my students this semester. This will be the place for their response papers, writing exercises and a few other tidbits. It needs to have access for 5-10 members, a very easy set-up, free-to-near-free pricing (although I would pay or find the dollars to fund if it was warranted), and very clear posting/linking instructions for the students. Advice on selecting a blogging system needed.

Please Help Me. I need a blog. I am so busy and scattered, though. I post stuff all over the place, and I try to connect with folks with snippets. I think a blog would work for me, even in it got few hits. But since I am so busy, I don't have much time to learn detailed shortcuts, software, etc. I would like to find a place on the web where it is easy to post stuff in a cool layout, including of course links, pix, etc. Maybe with sidebars, contact info, etc. It would also be nice if it were within a community of bloggers. And maybe "Blog" is the wrong term, as it might be simply a personal web page. But a blog seems more interactive, and I want that. My interests are eclectic, but they include radical social, and personal, change. Will you please help me with ideas? Thanks!
