I used to be really into the mashup scene, but in recent years I've really fallen behind and only have one or two blogs that I'm following that don't really post new things that often. Does anyone have any recommendations? General remix blogs are fine, too, but I'm mostly looking for the classic 'multiple songs shoved together to make new ones' type.

I need help choosing blogging software that is affordable, not overly complex but still feature-rich for an image-heavy site that will feature blog posts and encourage community interaction. I have a domain and am planning to start a business that my site will support. I will be building and posting using OS X and iOS. I used to use iWeb. I didn't love it, but it made adding and manipulating media (photos, video, audio) easy, and it wasn't difficult to tweak existing themes to make them uniquely my own. I loved the WYSIWYG interface, but haven't seen any other blogging software like this. I'm quite adventurous regarding technology, so the more plug-ins or widgets to choose among, the better. I may eventually have a podcast, allow call-in comments, etc. I do not have a lot of money to put into the blog right now, but will invest more down the line. I need to start out affordably using a platform that will grow with me. There are so many choices out there that I am simply stuck. Please help me narrow my choices!

I am currently finishing up a program to become a certified dog trainer, and will soon be thrown out into the world to do what I will. I am not assuming that this will be a full time gig to begin with, and figured that I would do classes or private lessons on the side for a while. How can I do a successful job of marketing myself for these kinds of things? I have a couple of specific questions. [more inside]

Help me track down a blog (from maybe 10 years ago) where - if memory serves - the author posted feminist pieces and talked openly about her voluntary sterilisation in her 20s. I vaguely recall that the poster's handle was "Green"-something along the lines of GreenFairy (but not 100% sure on that either).
Does this website exist? I would like to be able to blog about my life in my target language and have native speakers make corrections, ask questions, etc. and do the same for people learning ESL. Livemocha seems like it should allow this but I can't figure out a way to do it. Does a site like this exist or do I need to utilize existing sites?

I'm considering setting up my company's website on a blogging platform. Since I'm a heavy user of Google services, I was considering using Blogger, especially since it is free. If so, what are the main selling points of using Wordpress over Blogger in 2012?

I have a self-hosted WordPress blog in which every post is an image (with alt-text) and a single comment. I'd like to move this material over to a Tumblr blog. All involve exporting the WordPress Blog to XML first, which I've done. [more inside]
