A family member is involved in a "48 hours in the Life of [town name]" project through a photography club and the local historical society. They would like to have a good way to receive photos during those two days, screen them for content and other requirements and simply and easily publish them and display them. [more inside]
Help me find a satirical blog post I read a couple years ago? It was in "answer" to a beginner asking what camera he should buy, although the beginner was an example of the typical entry-level photographer. [more inside]
I'm thinking of starting a low-key blog that posts black and white photographs of impoverished and disadvantaged people from around the world. The stories don't have to be elaborate or contain a lot of photos. Each one can consist of only one photo and a short description of the person's plight. Are there any similar websites/blogs out there? [more inside]
I need help choosing blogging software that is affordable, not overly complex but still feature-rich for an image-heavy site that will feature blog posts and encourage community interaction. I have a domain and am planning to start a business that my site will support. I will be building and posting using OS X and iOS. I used to use iWeb. I didn't love it, but it made adding and manipulating media (photos, video, audio) easy, and it wasn't difficult to tweak existing themes to make them uniquely my own. I loved the WYSIWYG interface, but haven't seen any other blogging software like this. I'm quite adventurous regarding technology, so the more plug-ins or widgets to choose among, the better. I may eventually have a podcast, allow call-in comments, etc. I do not have a lot of money to put into the blog right now, but will invest more down the line. I need to start out affordably using a platform that will grow with me. There are so many choices out there that I am simply stuck. Please help me narrow my choices!
Help me find a blog! It was about people on the streets with interesting cameras. It showed closeups of the cameras and sometimes their owners.

I want to set up a little "one picture a day" blog, using something like Tumblr, except I want the time of the post to be taken directly from the "Date Picture Taken" EXIF data. Is there a CMS (or even better, a Tumblr hack) that will allow me to do this? [more inside]

I'd like to create a stock photo service for a client. Does anyone have any recommendations for existing services such as photostockplus.com or those that focus on selling digital content such as tidwit.com or the now defunct blish.com. Is there a leader in this marketplace? [more inside]

Do you remember a global online photo project where individuals took pictures of themselves in their room? If it's still out there, I need to find it, as well as other examples of collaborative, possibly community-building blog-style photo sites that aren't Flickr. [more inside]

As a pretty prolific photographer and new blogger, I want to make my photos an important part of my Typepad basic blog. I'm looking for some kind of service that will let me upload my photos and then create some kind of (ideal) RSS feed or (less ideal) HTML code that I can put on my blog to show the 20 most recent photos or so. I need control over the feed or code to make the thumbnails or images the size I want to fit in the design. I've tried flickr and I'm less than impressed by the inability to change the size of the photos in the feed. I don't want to use a flickr badge - I want the user to see all the photos as they read my blog entries. I'd also like to prevent having large amounts of added "ads" on top of my photos advertising the service I'm using to provide the photos. [more inside]
Please suggest a better web site/blog for displaying my photos. [more inside]
