I need the perfect birthday gift for a seven year old girl. I don't know her well...i.e. what her interests are (so nothing too skewed). But she's clever and draws very well (though it doesn't need to be an arts/crafts item). I'd prefer something that would really make her eyes light up. But I need to be able to find and buy it easily tomorrow morning here in Suburbia (there ARE a couple "hip" toy stores not too far from here, if that helps). Preferably under $60. Thanks!!!!

My girlfriend is a big Lego fan and a big Harry Potter fan. (Sadly, yet thankfully, she's not yet a big Ask.metafilter fan.) I'm going to get her the Hogwarts Express Lego set for her birthday. The question: 4708 or 4758? Essentially, Lego put out two versions of this for two different movies. They both roughly go for the same amount on eBay, and have roughly the same number of pieces. Any insight into which one would be more fun? (She enjoys the build taking awhile and having lots of little things that do stuff afterwards. My wife's battled depression for a while, and though she rallied and had a decent few months, she plunged back into the depths of it for the few weeks around her recent birthday (which seems to happen every year, but this year was the worst yet). She had us cancel any birthday plans, cake, etc -- didn't even want anybody to say "happy birthday".
