Two weeks after my girlfriend treated me to the most thoughtfully-indulgent birthday weekend imaginable, I broke up with her. Just a week has passed since we went our separate ways, but that means two weeks until what would have been our three-year anniversary and three weeks until her birthday, upon which I would otherwise be reciprocating her generosity. My 4 friends and I had been planning a combination 30th birthday party to be announced as our "sesquicentennial" (that is...five thirty year olds = 150 years). Now, we seem to have added a sixth honoree to the party (six thirty year olds = 180 years). So....now what do we call it? My best guess so far is after the cut. [more inside]
