A lot of people experience intense moods and emotions while their body transitions off the hormones. After that, some people notice that their personality has changed one way or the other for good.
I've real some studies that show hormonal birth control also has an effect on the kind of person you are attracted to when you are on it. Does this mean you might not be as attracted to the person you're already with?
What was your experience?

I've been on a progestin-only pill to prevent pregnancy for three weeks, and I am unhappy. Wondering if anyone experienced similar symptoms, especially dizziness/hypotensive episodes and irregular bleeding) and how long they took to go away for you. (details within)

My hormones were a mess and 6 months ago my doctor suggested birth control pills to regulate them. I was put on Yasmin, and that worked great, I felt much better overall, except for the debilitating headaches once a month. I tried skipping the stop/placebo week, but that didn't work at all (severe headache and long breakthrough bleeding), and so much headache every month is not an option.

I started Yasmin birth control 3 months ago because my doctor thought it would help regulate my hormones. The first month was rough but the last two months were great. This month I wanted to skip my withdrawal bleeding so I started another strip without the stop/placebo week. I am now on day 7 of this strip, and for the last three days I have been having a rather bad headache. I never have headaches three days in a row, and also see no other reason for them. Been outside all weekend, got enough sleep, no changes in food. I don't find much about this on the internet. Should/could I just take a stop-week now, have a withdrawal bleeding, and hope the headache goes away? (and start with a new strip next week?) Should I wait it out? Any experiences?

If you've had good luck with Ortho Evra for birth control and also, at a different time, successfully used a birth control pill, what pill did you use? My current pill is not working for me and I need some help deciding between the multitude of pill options out there.

What have your experiences been with the combination birth control pill (or the progestin-only pill) while breastfeeding? Did it affect your milk supply?

I've heard everything from needing to wait one month, to going through 3 packs of BCP before it becomes effective (if you don't start the first during your period). I'm about to start my second pack of Yasmin on Sunday, and with all the conflicting answers being thrown at me I'm confused as to when condoms can finally be put aside. Sure, I can wait through several more months. But I don't
want to, y'know? Must I really? (Will you confuse me too, mefi?)
