Things to do in Guilin, China.

We're now on our China trip (thanks for the tips in our last question,), and are looking for specific suggestions on things to do in the Guilin area that weren't covered there. Extra points for off-the-beaten-path suggestions. We're definitely interested in beginner to intermediate hikes, bike rides, and boating. We also would love to see more rural sites, and the most spectacular scenery possible, but have been having trouble finding specific info on the area.

Or do I just need to knead my knee?

I just got into road cycling this year. I bought a bike in February, and have been ramping up in miles and pace since then. I just did a metric century (actually ~67 miles) a few weeks ago, my longest ride yet, and it killed my left knee. With this in mind, how do I keep up my progress in the off-season and return harder better faster stronger? What else can I do to move up a division for next year? (Also-- your thoughts on trainer versus stationary exercise bike: give me them.) [more inside]

Bandage or no Bandage?

I've caught the mountain biking bug and was out riding this weekend. On one of the more advanced drops I took a bit of a scary tumble and ended up pretty scraped up. Company bike fleet?

My organization is interested in providing a small fleet of bicycles for employees to use for meetings, workday errands, etc. The only reason *not* to do this that comes to mind is liability—although we could provide waivers, right? Looking for a cycling computer

Cycling computer - I recently started cycling (road biking) and have slowly been gearing up. I usually use RunKeeper, an iPhone app, while I ride to track info, but it's useless during the ride since it's in my back shirt pocket. I'm looking for a traditional bike computer to look at while I ride. I'd like the wireless kind, since my wife swears by her's. What are your suggestions?
