At which Oakland/Berkeley community college should I enroll? I'm deciding between three: Laney College, Berkeley City College, and College of Alameda. Laney College is the closest, easily within walking distance, while BCC is a convenient BART ride away and CoA is a bus ride away. Despite its convenience, Laney seems to be the most run-down of the three; BCC has very new facilities but I don't know much about the merits of its teachers or commitment level of the student body; CoA seems like the best balance but is the hardest to get to. Do you have recommendations or opinions on any of these schools? Personal experiences? Specific teachers or classes I should take/avoid?

two for one:
I just set up my new projector and while it is AWESOME, i'm having an issue with running my incomputer tv input through and losing allot of quality. 1) is there a good piece of software for interpolating tv input to make it higher quality
2) i'd like to organize a movie club to take advantage of the new beast and meet people in my area (berkeley for the bay area mefites). My girlfriend and I live in a small 4-unit apartment building in a residential part of Berkeley. Our neighbor, who lives in the house next door, just bitched her out for leaving her car parked on the curb adjoining his driveway. Her car, a small, gas-efficient economy car, is in perfect order, and was correctly parked, but she'd overstayed Berkeley's 72-consecutive-hour limit by a day or two, and he was miffed. He parks in his own garage, and seems to have no pity for her, even though the reason her car rarely moves is that she takes public transit to class daily. Anything we can do about this? How seriously would you take his threat to have the car towed next time? [more inside]
