I need to buy myself one black "professional belt," maybe a brown one too. Leather or pretend leather is fine, but I'd rather not get that "foil" stuff that flakes off or wrinkles after two uses. The quality of belts at Marshall's and Ross is disappointing (Rhinestones! Faux snake print!
Not Professional!) For me, "professional" means plain. Boring.

All my life I've bought cheap-ass vaguely-leather-ish belts (like, the $20 ones from that rack next to the cash register at the el-cheapo big box shoe store) and they've always started to warp within three months and started falling to pieces within six. I don't
think I'm unusually hard on my belts. I think the ones I'm buying just suck balls and I should bite the bullet and buy nicer ones. So: How much more would I have to spend to get one that
didn't suck? What would it cost me to get a leather belt that would last two years without warping or splitting? Five years? Ten?
Infinity?

I own a belt with equally spaced belt holes along the entire length of the belt. It's falling apart and I'd like to get a new one, but I can't find one. (Example inside)

The timing chain broke while I was driving my 1997 Ford Taurus GL, I drove it for a few more minutes and the battery died. Once I was able to pull over to the side of the road, I opened up the hood and the chain was ripped to shreds. I don't have a lot of auto repair experience, but am I able to repair it myself by just simply installing a new timing chain? If so, are there any diagrams or helpful directions on the internet somewhere?

Ruined my 25 year old leather belt. For some years I've been looking for a duplicate, but no joy. I'm looking for a plain, flexible, natural-cowhide belt, made well and unadorned.

I'm trying to remember the name of a band, among whose defining aesthetic characteristics was the prominent use of a band-wide? uniform including white pants and/or a white belt. Probably 80s? Maybe New Wave?

Can anyone recommend any martial arts learning opportunities (camps, workshops, lessons, etc) in Asia that an 18 year old would enjoy? My nephew in the US is a karate brown belt and he would like to travel to Asia when he graduates from high school this year. I am trying to help him find some interesting travel opportunities which relate to karate. He loves karate and has been searching for something to do in Japan or India for Summer 2008 but we haven't found anything yet. Thanks for any tips.

I need a new belt to hold up my pants. The one I have now is about 20+ years old.
I'd like one that does not use animal products, uses natural fibers, is about 3/4 wide, thin, durable, and unobtrusive. Any ideas?
