I've been tasked with securing in-kind beverage donations / beverage sponsorship for an event at a music & dance education non-profit, and I'm failing pretty badly. I lack useful contacts in the beer/wine/liquor industry, and I lack knowledge of what companies generally support small arts nonprofits in this fashion. As an added bonus, our organization is fairly new. Please give me advice on how to not suck at this...

I've never been a beer person, but a friend recently introduced me to a Belgian brew called Kwak, and I'm a fan. Unfortunately, few bars have Kwak on tap. Can any of you beer connoisseurs out there recommend similar beers - sweet and high in alcohol content? I'm generally not big on dark lagers or stouts.

I'm in Olympia, WA and looking to lay up a few (3 or 4) cases of Guinness Extra Stout for the winter. What's the least expensive way to do this? Are there beer emporiums around that offer close to wholesale prices?

I'm getting more and more serious about starting a brewery. I don't know where to start with the state, the city, the FDA and the ATF. (Does the ATF even care about beer? See! I need someone who knows these things!) You're not my lawyer, but maybe you know what kind of lawyer I'm looking for and how to find them!

Apologies in advance for the lack of details. I'm trying to find a beer commercial from, probably, about ten years ago. It said something to the effect of, "we've never sent a man to the moon. we've never cured a disease. we just make beer, but we do it well. pursue your passion." Does anybody remember seeing this? Do you know what beer it was for? Do you have a link to it on YouTube?

I am going to keg my homebrew for the first time and take it to a friend's wedding. I have the CO2 system set up and I have checked it for leaks and practiced with H20. Everything is set to go. I need some help about what do next however, because I have to transport the beer twice and I don't have a fridge to keep the beer in (my plan is a cooler and ice). Here's the scenario: Beer is ready to be kegged, the wedding at which it will be served is in 14 days. The beer is in a carboy two hours away from my home and I will need to transport it to my home this week before the wedding. Then, two days before the wedding I will need to transport it from my home 5 hours away to the wedding. What would you do?

Do print ads for bars/restaurants have to blur the labels on the beers they carry in pictures? Our bar is putting out an ad in a magazine and the picture we're planning on using has a lot of the beers we carry in it. Do we have to censor the labels of beers we carry at our bar for the print ad for any reason?

I had some very tasty organic been in Germany years ago. It was brewed by Rother Bräu, and was either the
Öko Urtrunk,
Öko Ur-Weizen or the
Öko Ur-Pils. I may have even tried all three at various times. I'd love to be able to track down any (if not all three) of these in the US. How do I do this?

I've just poured myself a
Dark Horse Brewery Tres Blueberry Stout. A slow, steady pour that left a modest head on top. And then a droplet or two skidded around over the foam like a water droplet on a hot frypan for maybe five seconds before disappearing.
Darndest thing I've ever seen. Beer geniuses, how did this happen? How can I make it happen again?
