How easy is it to brew non-alcoholic beer at home?
For the past two weeks I've been consuming large amounts of alcohol (mostly beer and wine, but also soju). After I first started drinking, I noticed a bump in a blood vessel in my right forearm. These bumps have now appeared along the rest of my forearm (that same vein). They feel like bruises. I'm pretty sure something is getting clogged up in there. I can stop drinking, but what can I do to get my blood flowing normally again? [more inside]

I love Samuel Adams Noble Pils. I also love New Belgium's Hoptober. These beers are similar in their dinstinct hoppy, but not bitter, quality (I'm not good at describing the nuances of beer, so take that for what it's worth). What other beers would I love?

I am getting married in two weeks in the Prospect Park Picnic House in Brooklyn. My fiancee and I are providing the alcohol (two types of beer, a red wine and a white wine and a glass of champagne for a champagne toast). A ridiculous question: I went to Haverford College (outside of Philly), and a pizza place nearby in Villanova (Connestoga? Campus Corner? I don't know) had an awful cartoon poster of zany college life, and for some reason I've always wanted to get a closer look. The only thing I remember is some hapless partier sitting on the toilet the next morning with the phrase "beer stinkies" hovering above him. [more inside]

Some time in the last 12 months, I watched a BBC programme in which the presenters visited an event held outside a pub somewhere in England. According to my vague recollection, the point was to fish a rag out of a bucket of beer using the end of a broomstick, and then fling said beery rag at bystanders. I had thought that the programme in question was Oz and James Drink to Britain, and that this had taken place in Lewes, East Sussex, but even with variations on those things as search terms I can find no reference to this online. Has anyone heard of this? What is it called? Where and when does it take place?
I am currently vacationing in Berlin and I have this notion that it would be wonderful to escape the city for a small, cozy, quintessentially German village somewhere nearby -- like within 1-2 hours of train travel if possible. I know Potsdam and Spandau, but I would prefer somewhere less traveled and -- for lack of a better word -- quainter, where we can taste the locally-brewed beer and eat some rustic German food. Any suggestions?

I've got an extra several hours in Austin to fill up due to differing travel schedules from friends. I want to buy some local beer to take back with me (Jester King and Real Ale), but just about every decent looking liquor store is closed due to it being Sunday. After noon, some places open up for beer and wine, but most of those are just selling the normal stuff and Shiner. Any ideas? (As well as other ideas for filling an afternoon in Austin)
