I think I have a problem with self esteem. Objectively, I know that I am a physically attractive person. This has been confirmed by plenty of people throughout my life. I want more than anything to be told by my husband that I am beautiful in certain ways, but he can't or won't. I don't want to need something from him that he is unable to give. How can I either stop focusing on this, or learn how to validate myself without his input?

Recently I came to the realisation that I am a really plain, unattractive woman. There have been signs for a while, but I only recently put them all together and the realisation hit me - I"m ugly! How do I deal?
I don't mean that I have poor self-esteem, but that I am objectively plain. Please don't tell me I need better self esteem - it's not about that! [more inside]

How can I look 32 when I am actually 37? I am MALE and about to go on a bunch of interviews for a job where the ideal entry age is 32 in an industry that is *very* age conscious and age discriminatory (it's TV staff writing, fyi). I am 37 and want to register more like 32/33 when I walk into the room... can anyone suggest a comprehensive "look 5 years younger" makeover?

Has anyone ever used a home microdermabrasion kit? I'm on Retin-A, it's wintertime, and I exfoliate a ton. I need something to help slough it all off a few times a week. Via Froogle, I stumbled on a few
handheld units that help exfoliate with a little rotating brush, but don't seem to simultaneously vaccuum away the dead skin like the machines in the dermatologist's office--sorry so graphic! Just wondering if anyone's had the pleasure/displeasure of doing this from home.
