My friend is growing a beautiful bushy beard and moustache. After several months it's wonderfully luxuriant. But, it's got to the stage where he can't eat without spillage. As for soup, forget about it - he can hardly have a mouthful before he has to wield a napkin and wipe spoonfuls away. My friend is very elegant and finds this sloppiness excruciating, especially in public.

Can you think of any movies or tv shows that feature bearded zombies? Unless facial hair confers some sort of protective powers against post-death reanimation, it seems that there should be plenty of examples, but scanning
Walking Dead images, I can't find any. (There are lots of Halloween costumes of bearded guys in zombie makeup, but I'm specifically looking for zombies from film and television.)

What culture(s) is the practice of putting beads or string around your beard from? (Just to clarify, I mean putting the facial hair into a 'ponytail' at the chin and then stringing the beads on.)

I have a full beard and have been leaving sinks full of offerings for the Shaven Yak for about 15 years now. I never really worried about clean up too much (I did it, just didn't worry about it).
