Looking for a 10+ year old book about a stuffed bear in a classroom cave

Years ago I picked up a book at random that I thought had "Creative Education" or "Classroom" in the title, but every search I've done comes up empty. It's written by a teacher that used a stuffed bear that lived in a cave in the corner of an elementary classroom. I also recall a chapter on a 'Mr. Pen'. I'd like to find it again. [more inside]

Tell me the name of this children's book from its cover (1940-1970ish)

I'm trying to identify an English-language book by its cover as seen in a photo of my friend taken in 1970 when she was a year old. The original image is hard to make out, but I inverted it and made it black and white. Does anyone recognize it? [more inside]

What's Misha the bear's last name?

In Russian fairy tales, bears are named Misha. Or so my girlfriend, a student of Russian, says; so does Wikipedia and this New York Times blog which quotes something saying "all Russian bears are named Misha". But does this Russian bear have a last name? [more inside]

Identify this children's book

Asking for a friend: "I read a book when I was very young, a fantasy story for kids, that featured a character called Airy Bear, who would inflate himself and thus leap and bounce about. I cannot remember the name of this book and I really, *REALLY* want to know what it is. Help? The internet (or at least my search-term-crafting-fu) is failing me."

Mouse Girl in Paris

[Bookfilter]: A friend asks "HELP! About 20 years ago I found a picture book at the library. It was about a little mouse girl who was being raised by a bear in Paris. The mouse had a name like Angelina -- but NOT Angelina Ballerina. Got any idea what it was?" Does this description ring any bells? Thanks!

Looking for picture of chain-saw carved bear for tattoo reference - hard to find

Looking for a picture/drawing of a bear statue from behind (possibly facing forward) - from what I recall, it looked like a chainsaw-cut carving of a brown or black bear out of a tree. Could be B&W lineart of one and I recall the grooves of the "fur flaps" being very deep but symmetrical - not rough-cut and not rounded. Thinking of using it along with a drawn "cub" of similar look & feel for a tattoo. [more inside]

Bear Ambition

I would like to wear a bear costume for Halloween, but the only storebought options I have found on eBay and elsewhere online haven't quite matched what I'm looking for. This is basically what I'm after, as a reference. Or possibly even this one or this one. If anyone out there knows where to find something similar that would fit a 5'9" 130 lb person, I would be thankful (bonus points if I can buy it in the Vancouver, BC area) Full disclosure: I plan on drinking beer from a growler with 'Honey' written on it.

name that children's book

looking for the title and author of a children's book about a polar bear. i don't remember the specifics of the story except for the fact that it ends, approximately, with the line: "polar bear, underwear." what i remember of the story is that the polar bear is on is way to the shower and involves him stripping down to his "polar bear underwear." i remember the artwork being somewhat strange.
