After my grandma lost her shit with me last night, she's calmed down enough to admit to my father today that she feels like I can be really condescending sometimes. Eek. This is a piece that I want to work on improving, while I'm also learning to be much more on guard whenever I'm around my grandma. Can you help me be less of an annoyingly (unintentionally) condescending/smug person?

In the mid 70s the spiritual teacher Ram Dass published a book titled Be Here Now. The format of the book was unique. Its unconventional 'square' shape, with an eclectic mix of text with hundreds of illustrations and various font treatments. It's still in print today. But there's a book that followed or copied the spirit of Be Here Now and I can't recall title: [more inside]

In the last few days I've received this message when trying to watch local content on CBC or Radio Canada: "The requested video cannot be displayed in your region". Perplexed because I am actually in Canada. Has my IP address been compromised? Is there a somewhat easy not too techy fix out there.

I went to school near Pittsburgh and now live in Ohio. Both at school and here in Columbus, I notice people leaving off "to be" in sentences. This needs fixed, that neads cleaned, those need washed. What's the deal here? [more inside]
