I'm an American who loves British television but am tired of discovering shows only after they have finished. Is there a UK-centric equivalent of
The A.V. Club—i.e., a site that covers currently airing British television series?

According to
this story in the Guardian, a BBC documentary about the London riots has been banned by a judge in England. However, the judgement also forbids revealing the judge's name, place or sitting, or more importantly, reasons for the banning. Can you help me find a leak of the judgement or any additional information, as I would like to know why it has been banned.

So I've been watching 1970's Doctor Who on the BBC iPlayer. The Tom Baker section lists stories available on the iPlayer as 1,2,3,4,5,9,10,12,13,14 (this is nothing to do with any other story numbering). Is there a trick to getting the missing numbers (6,7,8,11), or did they just err? And does anyone know if there is more classic Who likely to be added in the future?

On Christmas Eve 1944, the BBC Home Service broadcast a program called 'A Poet's Christmas', featuring new poetry and music. Among the musical items was Michael Tippett's carol 'The Weeping Babe' (setting poetry of Edith Sitwell), which the BBC commissioned for the broadcast. I am trying to find out what else was broadcast as part of this program.

Looking for Radio Humbug: On every major holiday, but most especially Christmas, I'm annoyed that the radio broadcasts I habitually listen to--mostly NPR, BBC world service--are overtaken by special holiday content, which is usually religious and sappy. Can anyone recommend a radio station to listen to on internet stream on these holidays (talk, not music) that will present news, interviews, documentaries and the like? I could do podcasts, but I much prefer live streaming. Necessarily in English. Most any sort of content or geographic focus would be of interest, so long as there's no shouting, minimal or no religion, no political extremism.
