How can one batch modify pdfs that are from scanned books / magazines for easier reading on Kindle? Specifically a) minimize the margins. b) repaginate when they are 2 pages to a page scans. [more inside]

I just rediscovered the greatness of the Live Music Archive and would like to covert the .shn shows to .mp3, so they will play on an iPod (the FAQ implies this is OK as long as they are not uploaded or distributed). Are there any freeware (XP) programs that can batch process these files? Bonus points if there is a program that can also add converted files to iTunes.
