I am coaching my 11-year-old daughter's junior level, instructional league basketball team. I was watching a woman basketball college game on TV and I started wondering what the coaches make for salaries. Not only the coaches but also the numerous assistant coaches who are sitting there on the bench. I would be curious to get a ball park figure about this subject. Does anyone know where this information is available, not only for basketball, but for football also.

In 1993, during his rookie season in the NBA, Shaquille O'Neil's weight and strength managed to break and pull down two NBA backboards. The first on national television (NBC if I remember correctly...) on February 7th in Phoenix delaying the game for a half hour. The second time on April 23rd in New Jersey. So the US basketball team got handed it's hide by the Puerto Ricans.
My question, and of course I understand many of the complex issues surrounding the soverignty of the territory, is...why are they allowed to have their own team? I mean, the guys on the PR team that just pummeled the dreamies are all US citizens, right?
What's the rule?
