Do bars like the one on Ally McBeal really exist? Tell me where! Anywhere in the world will do, but it must fit the bill.

Craft cocktails in Providence, RI? Looking for any craft cocktail bars in the city that you care to recommend, though especially in the downtown area, if any exist there. Thanks.

I'm in downtown Chicago today and we're looking for a good place to watch the Final Four games this evening. Requirements: good food, reasonable beer selection, and a laid back area where we can grab a table and hang out for a couple hours. Thanks in advance!

Can you list some bars and restaurants in DC that would be good for a group of 10-12, all 21+? I'm open to making reservations, but a) bars probably don't take them and b) it would also be nice to be able to descend on a location or two in a more impromptu fashion as the weekend develops. Neighborhoods and other relevant details within.

I just moved from Philly. What parts of Chicago have high concentrations of "third places" easily accessible from Union Station and the L lines? I'm looking for coffeeshops, bars, food courts, and other cool places that wouldn't mind 6-14 paying customers hanging out for a couple of hours and talking at moderate volume.

I moved in above a bar. The soundproofing is great, except for the vibrations from the lower bass frequencies. They're using wall-mounted speakers placed pretty close to the ceiling. Is it possible to soundproof against those? And what are some of the things the bar could do to help me?

I'm going to be in Ellenville, NY tomorrow night, and I'd like to find a nearby bar that's showing UFC 118. The UFC website unsurprisingly has nothing closer than suburban NYC, and I can't figure out any way to craft a search that would get me this information. I can search for local bars and call them... but thought I'd ask here first. Anyone know of a bar near Ellenville showing the fights?

An old friend is visiting my vast metropolitan area and we'd like to meet up for lunch tomorrow. What's a good, infant-friendly spot to grab a bite of lunch, sip a beer (maybe shoot some pool?), somewhere between Yorba Linda, CA and downtown Los Angeles?

NYC filter: Looking for a bar on the Upper East Side (preferably east 80s/90s) which can accomodate a group of ~50-70. My high school class is having its 15th reunion, which will start off at our school and then progress to an after-party at a bar at around 9/9:30pm on a Friday in June. So a private room would work, as would a bigger bar which could simply accomodate a mass influx. Anything from divey to schmancy is a possibility. Thanks!

Can anyone recommend a good restaurant/sports bar in the Pioneer Valley (Western MA) area to watch tomorrow's Red Sox home opener? Preferably a place with many TVs, good food, and not too too many undergraduate students?

There are gay bars, lesbian bars, and leather bars. Are there "geek bars"? In geek culture, what institution, meeting, or whatever serves the purpose that "meat market" single bars do amongst the non-geeky populace?
