Do those metal deodorant bars made to remove the scent of garlic or onion from your hands really work? If so, how? If not, what does?

What's a fairly tasty, "healthy" alcoholic cocktail you can order at a bar? I'm interested in something without the high fructose corn syrup of "well juices" or filled with cream, but with <= 20% alcoholic content and cheap?

Can anyone suggest a good Irish pub close to Times Square in NYC? Also, how about the best bar in general in that area? (Please nothing with "planet" or "zone" in the name.) [more inside]

I'm looking into applying to law school, and trying to think of ways to strengthen my application. Anyone know whether passing the Bar before applying would be seen as a good thing, in terms of getting into a slightly better school than I would otherwise? [more inside]

Can CSS be used to transform an unordered list of links into a horizontal navigation bar which occupies a fixed (total) width but has equidistant padding between each link, regardless of content length? ( css layout tooth-grinding insanity ) [more inside]

I'm leaving for Amsterdam in less than two weeks. I've been to the museums, I know which coffeebars I like. Where fun is there to do? Winston? That hidden anarchist's bar I can never find? Stampot at Haesje Claes?

[LondonFilter] Its my birthday next month and i'd like to hire an area of a bar for 30 or so people. Preferably for free (or low cost) with no minimum bar spend in zone 1 or 2. Music-wise, I'd rather a place that doesn't play cheesy 80's. Does anyone have any recommendations?

So apparently it's legal
to have sex in a bar bathroom in Italy, but what about the U.S.? Related question: is it illegal for a woman to go in the men's room (or vice versa)? Anybody ever gotten in trouble (beyond just embarrasment) for something like this?

for the lawyers:
i'm three years from admission on motion in NY (which bar membership has been recommended to me by several folks for various reasons). i may or may not be moving back to WashDC in two years (reciprocity with DC and admisson on motion to VA are not at issue). should i sit for the NY bar or wait out the reciprocity?
what advice for/experiences with changing jurisdictions do/have y'all had?

Chicago? Going to be there March 4th through 7th. What to do? Where to eat? I'd like some good greek or chinese food, or both. Oh, and I need to find a sports bar there that will be showing the Duke/Carolina game on Saturday night.
