its been so long since I had to book spaces for shows in NYC that I have no idea who to even contact for possibly hosting a one man show later this year -- What small venues in NYC should I be talking to about hosting a one man show at somewhat last moment (less than three month notice)? Seating capacity round 60 - think bar with generous back room rather than theatre.
My husband-to-be and I plan to have a small civil wedding with immediate family in California (where we live), and would like to throw a casual party with drinks and dancing at a bar in Manhattan or Brooklyn so we can celebrate with our friends. [more inside]
I'm trying to plan a small get together near work in SoHo (I work near Mercer & Houston) but don't know the area too, too well. St. Marks, just a walk away, seems like the best bet as far finding good choices but anywhere in or around the neighborhood works. [more inside]
What are your favorite quiet (on a Saturday or Sunday night!) Manhattan bars or lounges that play ambient music, and are good for hanging out? [more inside]
I could use some input on how I can pull off the bachelorette party I have envisioned, in New York City, in late May of this year. Keywords: fun (not raunchy), slumber party, karaoke, good food, overnight. [more inside]

Does anyone know a bar on the west side of Manhattan, nearish the 69th Street entrance to the park, that could accommodate dozens, even perhaps 100 people, for drinks on a Saturday from 5-7? [more inside]
NYC filter: Looking for a bar on the Upper East Side (preferably east 80s/90s) which can accomodate a group of ~50-70. My high school class is having its 15th reunion, which will start off at our school and then progress to an after-party at a bar at around 9/9:30pm on a Friday in June. So a private room would work, as would a bigger bar which could simply accomodate a mass influx. Anything from divey to schmancy is a possibility. Thanks!
Help me find an agreeable bar in Manhattan where I can watch the winter Olympics on TV. [more inside]
