Wells Fargo just royally screwed me during one of the most difficult financial weeks of my life, putting me in a position where I won't even have food money or enough gas money to get to work -- until next TUESDAY! I'm spitting mad. My questions are twofold: 1) I want to know if there's anything I can do to turn this situation around now or do I have to just wait; 2) My money problems are temporary and I'll be in the red within a year. Is it possible to complain or make a statement about this episode with Wells Fargo that would ever be heard? Should I just bitterly move on and take my business elsewhere, feeling like a victim? 3) Do you have a bank that you recommend doing business with instead -- one that treats customers with actual respect? I recently sold my house and got a significant chunk of money which I will be using for my next down payment. It's over the FDIC limit. Embarrassment of riches filter: I have a Bank of America account, and about two weeks ago I noticed that they had erroneously deposited approximately $1,400 of extra interest from some savings bonds into my account. I called to notify them of their error, and after playing phone tag, they eventually realized that the deposit was a mistake and assured me that they'd take back the money. Bizarrely, they still haven't, which is starting to get annoying. After a certain period of time, do I get to keep the money? If not, can I do something to get them to actually take it back?

UK Credit Filter - We have bad credit, and now our bank have decided that they want to close my accounts. So in order to be paid, and pay bills...I have to find a new current account. My wife and I know that we can fix our problems with money (and have been doing well for 3 months) - but we cannot seem to find a bank that will open a current account for us.

So for UK askMe people - do you know of a current account that will AT LEAST give us the benefit of the doubt?
