Would I know if this is as good as it gets? I know I've got it pretty good, better than most I bet...but I feel a little, I don't know, perhaps unsettled. But maybe that isn't even the right way to describe it - physically it's more liked stressed with a side order of tired. How do you know when you're at the top of your game and when you are in the place that is best for you and your family?

I need some help finding balance. I've gone through a number of changes in my life lately, and it's been amazing. But the changes have caused my work life to suffer, and I've just taken on a new job, so this is not a good time. Anxiety, exercise, confidence, and a loss of balance all come into play here... I need some help putting it all together.

Looking for advice or rules of thumb on how better to strike a good work/life balance with the risk factor that I actually love my work and feel very possessive toward it. Further, I work for a small company and I understand that my work is integral to its future. I understand that it is probably not going to be possible for me to wrap it up everyday at 5 pm and forget about work the next day until 9 am, and maybe I don’t even want to. However, I don't need to work 20 hour days or weekends, and I'm looking for thoughts from others in the same situation, and rules of thumb as to how to keep a good balance.

I love taking risk-taking. I am bold, tenacious, speak my mind and if you've met me you would know that I get a certain thrill out of it. Increasingly, I am finding myself wanting for ways to channel my love of risk into the energy I need to get things done. Please help me do this.
