Our small office (Windows 7) had a Western Digital My Book World Edition drive. This drive attached itself to the network so everyone could see it, but mostly it was used for backups of our backups. Now the drive seems to be dying and we're looking at replacing it, but WorldBook edition don't seem to made anymore.
Can anyone verify that? And if so, point us to similar type of drive, preferably 2 or more terabytes for a Windows 7 office. Does the MyBook line do anything like this?
We already have a server that's managed by our IT department. This other drive is mostly just a secondary backup with storage of a few other video files on it.
I've always backed my files on CDs and DVDs, but a few years back I decided to go for external hard disks because they seemed more practical. I would love to get SSD external hard disks, but they are very expensive. I'm currently looking at cloud-based backup solutions but I don't really know where to find something of quality that is private and relatively cheap. Any ideas? [more inside]

Two hard drives. HD2 with a bunch of lossless music. HD1 with the same music plus a bunch more music that I've acquired in recent months. I want all of my collection on both drives in case one fails. Besides copying over each new file piecemeal, or deleting everything on drive 2 and just copying the entirety of drive 1, is there a more elegant way to do this?
Is there a program or method that will only copy over the files that HD2 doesn't already have?
I lost my iTunes installation in a hard drive crash. I have a backup from many months ago. I have an iPad and iPhone that have never been synced to iTunes because I got them since the hard drive failure. I'd like to re-install iTunes from the backup and sync my iPad and iPhone to the re-installed iTunes without losing any data or re-installing apps. How would I do that? [more inside]
I have a PCI-E SSD as my boot drive, and a win7-created RAID 1 on two 3TB drives. My boot drive has my user folder on it, but my documents, music, pictures, videos, etc folders shortcut to their respectable folders on the RAID. I would like this to be a full redundancy scheme and it is, but I've run into several nags and I would like to know how to fix them and prepare a fix-it plan before any of the drives fails. I backed up the contents of my ASUS UL50VT laptop in 2011 to my Seagate external hard drive using their Memeo software. In 2012, I connected the Seagate again and ran a second backup, and it created a separate folder where it stored all the new files I'd gained since the previous time. So far, so good.
Now when I try to back it up again, it has started from scratch--duplicating the entire contents of my 450 GB laptop to a third folder. I'm gonna use up all my hard drive space this way, stat. Any way to make it back up only the new files again, like it did before?
