So it's come to this - I see no other option than to ask a "help me fix my PC" question. After some troubleshooting the STOP errors seem to have been resolved, XP now boots successfully but is excruciating slow to the point of being unusable. Details and specs below the fold. [more inside]

I own all of the southpark dvds and I want to rip each episode to an individual file for my media center. I know I can do this manually but it is tedious. Is there any Rip software that can do a batch conversion?

I've taken the role as a graphic designer at a small company, and I also wear the IT hat sometimes. That being said, I'm more of a Mac Guru than (blech) XP. BUT, we have a small file server (40 GB, half full) of data we would like to backup nightly.
#1: What's a good tape drive (or other media) for that much data, with room to grow, of course.
#2: What software?
#3: What's a "typical" backup schedule. I'd prefer just to do incrementals, but how often to rotate tapes/etc...?
Thanks!

I am looking for a fault-tolerant file copying freeware/shareware (WinXP) for copying very large directories (> 100GB) from volume A to volume B. By "fault tolerant", I mean that the process won't die if a particular subdir or file won't copy, it will just keep on chugging and log the problem.
This kinda sounds like is a prettified, Windows equivalent of rsync. Anyone?

What's a good program to automate backing up one hard drive to another one on the same box in Windows XP?
Something that made a complete backup of certain folders every morning would be ideal.
