Help my baby suck ... On something other than me

My 6.5 week old baby wants to suck and suck. Attempts at introducing a pacifier have been met with gags. She tries to get her fingers in there but just can't quite coordinate it. That leaves me. I'm often but not always willing to play this game, and soon have to go back to work. Suggestions? [more inside]

Baby sleep redux

Yay, it's a baby sleep question! About the best little three month-old this side of anywhere! (Basically, my wife and I are mightily confused about where our boy is now and where we need to start planning to get him.) (Picture of pulkes inside, of course. If it's good enough for a cat question it's good enough for us.) [more inside]

Two kids, one bedroom: what should we know?

Right now, our 3-and-a-half-year old has her own room, and our one-year-old sleeps in Mommy & Daddy's bedroom. Next week, we're moving the baby into the toddler's room. What can we do to make the transition as painless as possible? How can we make this necessity into a positive experience for our kids? Are we crazy for even considering this? If your children share a bedroom (or if you shared a bedroom as a child), I'd love to hear your advice, warnings, opinions, and anything else you think I should hear.

Moving the movement

[infant poo details follow] My one year old son wakes up when he dirties his diaper. Regrettably this tends to be at 5.30 / 6am - an hour before he's supposed to get up. If he doesn't then he sleeps through. He only goes once per day. Ideally I'd like this to be later in the morning. Any ideas how to move his body clock?
