I'm interested in Korean pop culture: K-pop, K-drama, K-film. I've seen previous questions about specific recommendations if music and movies. I am checking those out. There is so much material, I'm trying to get a broader perspective.

My dear friend has a 9 month old daughter (who is just the most gorgeous vivacious little person I've ever seen) and as I'm pregnant with my first child who is also a little girl, we are inheriting an enormous amount of stuff from them. I would like to buy her 9 month old daughter a really fabulous gift as a thank you. Any ideas?

I have a four year old (turning five in March) step son who loves dinosaurs, cars, and super heroes. So basically, he's a normal four year old. Any movie suggestions for me/him that aren't Pixar? I'm thinking stuff like The Shaggy D.A. but maybe kids don't like that stuff any more?? Help!

Early in his career, Conan O'Brien had Don Ho as his guest. Don Ho did a cover version of the Beastie Boys' single "Sabotage". This was the greatest piece of television history I have ever experienced. Is it available anywhere?

I'm looking for images, most likely illustrations but photos might do, that depict the most absurd, over-the-top awesomeness. Imagine someone sat down and said "I'm going to draw the silliest, most awesome thing ever."

It’s my boyfriend’s birthday next week. Yay! Along with presents and activities lined up, I really really want to make him a series of date envelopes. So, he’ll get 12 envelopes, each one to be opened on the first of the month, for the next year. And in each envelope will be a piece of paper with a super fun thing for us to do together. The sticking point is, um, the super fun things. Kind, funny, romantics AskMe, will you hope me plan 12 months of super fun? Yes? Let's go!

Where are some awesome jazz bars in London? I am looking for somewhere that has a resident live band... the kind of thing you'd imagine Brad Pitt and George Clooney planning a casino heist in with both of them wearing suit and shirt with no tie. Whilst drinking Scotch. Bonus points if it's a place that has an entrance fee to discourage the riff-raff.

I am currently writing short form fiction rooted in the horror genre. I am interested in playing with the traditional archetypes of monsters in super natural horror. What hybrid-monster combinations (preferably three or more, I especially like zombies, vampires, werewolves, ninjas, and mummies) would create a compelling but tragically sympathetic main character?

My fellow thespian seagull and I are considering a day trip to Greenland from Iceland in early July. We are seeing mixed reviews online with a few of the Air Iceland destinations. Because the trip adds a large chuck of change to the cost of the trip we are questioning it's value. Can you tell me if it is worth it or not?

Movie/TV filter: Looking for scenes where people have a visible struggle with their conscience. Like the angel and demon popping up on a person's shoulder when faced with an ethical dilemma, but not necessarily limited to this visual depiction.

My husband and I are throwing our very *first annual* Christmas party. We just bought a house, and I've been dying to entertain in it. The thing is, though, I don't want it to be too "grown up" - ya know, a boring adult party. Our number one requirement for our wedding was that the reception be fantastically fun - where everyone dances all night and no one sits around awkwardly, being bored. This is the kind of party I want.
I don't want it to be boring BUT I do not want it to be because people are drunk out of their minds (I cannot stand ridiculously drunk behavior).

I believe this was on the blue in the last month or two, but my Meta-fu is failing me. Head-to-head challenge of two randomly selected items. I think it was called something like "Most Awesome Thing in the Universe," but of course that's not especially helpful as a search. You voted on one and another two popped up. I think "the internet" was winning at the time. I found it strangely addicting -- mostly because of the in-your-face sound effects -- but some Mefiers were all "meh." I need to find it again and can't. Hope me!
