I'm trying to identify prominent Australians, preferably from the 1980s who had a moustache. Think Magnum PI, but Australian. For what its worth, I've already identified just about every bloke that played cricket for Australia in that period. Bonus points if you can tell me some songs about moustaches too.

I'm an American guy in my mid-late twenties living in Melbourne, Australia for (at least) the next eight months. My social life was quite exciting when I first moved here during late summer, but lately it feels a bit stagnant at times. I'm looking for ideas of activities to get involved with, to make use of my free time and help me connect with new people (friends of both sexes, plus THE LADIES).

I have the world's most amazing partner and I'd love to get him a gift that shows him exactly how much he means to me. However, I am the world's worst gift giver and the situation is made even more difficult because I'm here in the US and he's in Australia. Can you suggest gifts that might show him how wonderful he is and/or recommend Australian sources of potential gifts?

So a segment I filmed
('Robin Hood's Nottingham') for Australian TV's Channel 9 'Getaway' show has just aired and I'd love to see the result - but as I'm in the UK I can't watch the online video at the show's site and it hasn't shown up on YouTube (or as a torrent) so is there any simple way I can get to see (or better still download) it? Many thanks!

Live action teen TV show, pretty sure it was Australian, about a group of youngsters trying to stop an alien that lived inside a volcano from ending life on Earth. I remember the alien being humanoid and vaguely similar to the Predator. I saw it on Icelandic television in the early to mid 90s. It was set in modern times. Does this ring a bell for anyone?

In Australia, to be a chiropractic you need to study
formal chiropractic degrees (Bachelors and Masters at least) and do years of pracs that are pretty similar to other medical courses. Chiropractic is also recognised as a Skilled Profession under Australian immigration, and are generally considered amongst the same league as physiotherapy and other musculo-skeletal therapists. However, in the US and the UK, chiropractics are often considered quacks and charlatans. Why the huge discrepancies?
