Is there a basic online DAW that my friend in another city and I can use to collaborate on music? We want to do an album in 24 hours, and we're looking for a site where we can upload parts of audio tracks we are working on and do basic editing on them.

I need a new amplifier/receiver for music and TV/home-cinema. I've looked at the Onkyo "network" range, especially entry level around £350-£400, but I am sure I could get my hands on an amp from a few years ago with all the features I desire, and save a bundle. I'd really appreciate your advice.

Audiophilia-on-a-budget advice needed: I want to upgrade my desktop listening experience for around $200 or less. Currently reasonably happy using Sennheiser HD-280 plugged straight into my Mac Pro, but borrowing a friend's Total BitHead has inspired me to look further.

Looking for a small, cheap amplifier to sit between a
Sony D250 portable CD player and a pair of Energy e:XL 15 or 16 speakers. Toying with the idea of a DIY gainclone but not sure I have the smarts to put a kit together without killing myself, or even to know whether that sort of amp is suitable for my needs.

I'm going back to school in the Fall for a 2-year biomedical equipment tech degree which will hopefully lead to a decent long-term career. Yay! In the meantime (until the Fall and during the 2 years) though, I need to make some money. I've thought that maybe A/V or home theater installation might fit the bill as something I have some interest in and wouldn't be completely dead-end. Is it a good job?

I'm looking for recommendations on great over-ear headphones I can use with my iPhone. I've been using Klipsch earbuds, but they don't stay in my ear that well, and I'm concerned about hearing loss, so I'd like to keep a small distance from my sound source.
I've seen in previous questions that the Sennheiser HD-280 and Sony MDR-V6 have been recommended for general use. I'm not sure about the viability of a hugely long cord for using these while walking around, however, nor do I know if the iPhone could drive these cans. I'm looking for accurate sound reproduction (no pumped-up bass, please) and comfortable wear. I'll be using them both outside and indoors, but they don't need to be sound-canceling.

I'm a drummer in an indie-rock band with a 5-piece kit who is looking to expand my setup to include a drum sampling pad. I want something that has unique percussion sounds (not just cheesy electronic beats), built-in effects, plenty of storage space to upload my own samples, and the ability to record and loop live drumbeats. Any advice?

I'm with a buddy working on his Tumblr page. We've noticed more and more visits from iOS devices and this shuts them out of his audio posts because Tumblr uses Flash. Is there any way around this with html5 plugins that support Tumblr and actually do? I am googled out with this. So much conflicting information. With so many visits from iPads (especially), it seems there
has to be a way. Any help would be appreciated.
As always, thanks in advance!

Fixing an HDMI connector: I broke the connector on one end of an in-wall HDMI cable. Is fixing it possible? This
AskMeFi thread proceeded with some of the answers I found on the internet until the poster realized they had a DVI cord.
So, I have an HDMI cable, one connector is broken, it runs 35 feet on a convoluted run through the walls and ceiling of an old house, so running new cable will not be as simple as just affixing a string to the old one and pulling it through.
Is fixing it possible?
