I'm the Fun Czar for a group of software developers, some of whom are in the Atlanta, GA area. I know nothing about Atlanta or fun stuff to do there. Help! I'm especially interested in activities that will be fun and engaging for a group of approximately 20 people, mostly geeks in their 20s and 30s. I'm interested in both little things (bowling and beer?) that can be done in a couple of hours, and bigger things (sporting events? amusement parks? boat rides?) that would take a full afternoon or all day.

I'm heading to a conference in Athens in the spring and need to get from the airport in Atlanta over to Athens. There are a bunch of services listed on the airport website for regional shuttle service. I'm not picky -- I almost always use a basic shuttle service to get from the airport to a hotel in town, but I've never had as far to travel before. What's your preferred company?

I am interviewing for an assistant professor position at the Emory School of Medicine. My girlfriend and I are visiting Atlanta where we will have a rental car and most of a Saturday to look at various neighborhoods. We're less interested in seeing the inside of apartments and more interested in getting a feel for the neighborhood: what they look like and how people live outside their housing. I am flying to an event out of state in September. I am morally obligated to bring the best bottle of bourbon that I can. It must be bourbon and it must be top shelf.
What excellent bourbon can I be assured of getting in the Atlanta area between now and then? Cost is really no object. If I thought I could score a bottle of 23 year old Pappy Van Winkle, I would.

I just recently moved to Atlanta (yay) and have been doing some gardening (aside: fellow atlanta mefi-ers please say hi, i need friends here!)
Anyway, in pruning the honeysuckle bush outside our place, i found that about half of the plant is entangled in what looks to be some kind of
invasive vine whose leaves look like this. I've cut most of it out of the plant now but I'd like to know what it is and what i should be doing to keep it away. I also see it growing up the side of the house a little.
Please dont tell me its poison something because i 've been rubbing my hands on it all morning.

My wife's sister and her new husband live near us in Atlanta. We haven't been that good about spending time with them and are looking for ideas for activities that we could all do together. I guess we're ideally looking for things that are fun, but where everyone can still talk and get to know each other.
