Without going into detail, I've been given pause about a romantic relationship and am trying to get some perspective on it. Having only the vaguest of itches, I decided to skip laying it all out for fellow MeFites this time in favor of something more universally applicable: what outside resources do you use to take the temperature of your interpersonal connections on your own?
I'm looking for an online quizzing tool/website/etc. that is: 1) free 2) gives the test-taker detailed results & feedback on questions missed - possibly a graphical depiction 3) would be easy to use in a 7th grade classroom where all the students have access to a chromebook. Thanks for any and all suggestions! (My overall goal is to have students screencap their results to store in a digital portfolio as a pre-assessment and artifact of their initial knowledge of a topic.)
Micropanda is 4 1/2, has great verbal skills, some mild delays in motor skills, and is a total space cadet in the absence of direct 1-on-1 adult interaction. He's in occupational therapy for sensory processing disorder. He is underweight and hates eating. We're coming to the end of our six month wait to see the developmental pediatrician, and the appointment's next week. Please tell me what to expect, help me think through prioritizing concerns, and offer any suggestions you have about how to get the most out of this appointment. [more inside]

I occasionally hang out with a smart 11-year-old girl, am a friend of the family. She's ahead of her peers in reading and math, starts 6th grade in the fall, but is not especially challenged by her public school. A few years ago in a different school district, they offered to skip her a grade (this option was not chosen). [more inside]

My father (65yo) has a small business teaching English as a foreign language to adults. He doesn't teach from scratch, but rather teaches those who already have a basic understanding of English. To do this, he asks all who apply to first complete a 2-page basic language assessment. He has recently created a website, and would like to be able to include the assessment online, preferably embedded on the website, or as a link to an assessment site. What software or site would easily help him do this? [more inside]

When I used to do testing for the State Employment service we had what we called a general "interests inventory" test ("Would you rather collect butterflies or draw a picture of a building?") We would give it to young people to help determine what areas of work they might like to pursue. Is there a current, free online test like that? My nephew wants to try to begin to set his son on a career path (freshman in high school) but the young man doesn't seem interested in anything special. Thanks.
I have been thinking about treating the ADHD I thought I was diagnosed with 5 years ago with medication. Two Parts: What do the scores on this ADHD assessment mean? And, does anyone know a thorough neuro-psychologist or psychologist in SF that you would recommend to help me on this journey?
