Can you help me help neurotypical people to see that Asperger's and autism are more than just "acting like an asshole"? [more inside]
I've been writing for a year and a half. I'm proud of my work, which is pretty obscure so far but some people like it and I'd like to try to go somewhere with it. (I'm in my late twenties if that makes a difference.) I just got published in an erotic anthology that's kind of a big deal. I also write essays for a high-traffic website. I think I'd have a wider audience if I used my real name. But I'm worried about discrimination because it's pretty sensitive material. [more inside]
I'm a 45 year-old adult who has just been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. At least, my counselor and my ex- both believe I have it. I don't believe I can be an Aspie because I am *phenomenally bad* with *both* computers *and* math (details on request). Are there Aspies like me?
How do I best manage a discussion-based course where one student speaks out too frequently because of Asperger’s? I teach university courses at a school with small class sizes of approximately 10 students. One of my students this semester has Asperger’s and speaks out too frequently—usually on topic but usually to share a personal experience with the topic rather than to move the discussion forward. Could I have Asperger's Syndrome? [more inside]
I'm looking for support groups for soon-to-be-parents with Asperger's Syndrome. Both individuals are 20ish and haven't had a lot experience being self-sufficient, have had difficulty organizing their lives, keeping jobs, etc. They are very excited about having a child, but could use some guidance on parenting, setting up a home, etc.

Sorry all, but I do have a gift question that I can't find the answer to elsewhere. I'm looking for a gift for a six-year old with Asperger's who is currently very interested in locks of all sorts. [more inside]

I've been "mentoring" a kid with Asperger's Syndrome for years. He's about to graduate from High School and he needs a Summer job. I need recommendations on how to make this as smooth as possible for him. [more inside]
Some dear friends of mine have an 11 year old son with Asperger's Syndrome, and I'm concerned because they are doing little if anything to aid in his socialization, allowing him to spend practically all of his time watching tv and/or playing video games. [more inside]
