Can someone tell me a term for this painting style?
Pig Painting Specifically the small appendages and rotund body shape. I'm looking for more paintings of pigs in this style if you know of any good ones. Thanks!

Someone has asked to license a photo I took of someone else's art. I have no right to the artist's work; I took the photo at a museum. I have no intention of licensing my photo unless and until appropriate arrangements are made with the artist and museum. How to proceed?

I'd like to start collecting art. I know, collect what you love - and I intend to. This is for my home, though if the pieces also have financial value down the road, so much the better. I really like older, typically Renaissance or Medieval portraits or action-filled landscapes (particularly those that feature animals (e.g. da Vinci's
Lady with Ermine). As a non-expert with a budget of <$500-$2000, how do I go about buying interesting art without being fleeced?

Can you help me track down a poster version of an artwork I only have on a greeting card? I was sent a birthday card this year with a beautiful illustration on the cover. I have the details of the illustration, and of the company that produced the card (both below), and the fact that the image belongs to the Smithsonian, but I can't for the life of me find a way to acquire a larger version of it. I would love to have a poster of this to hang in my office - if only I could find one!

Can you recommend a framer in San Francisco? I am going out there at the end of May for my aunt's 60th birthday, and the present I'd like to give her is a large poster, framed. I do not wish to travel with the framed poster, nor ship it already framed, so I was thinking I could contact a good framer out there, ship the rolled poster in a mailing tube, and pick it up when I arrive in SF. Does this sound like a good plan, and who would you recommend?

Artist name or where to buy, I saw several prints(of paintings) years ago. topic was humorous boating scenes. The one that comes to mind is "stalking barracuda" with a watercop hidden behind a mangrove island as drunken boater/fisher people fly through a "no wake" zone. there were others: "lookout" as the name of a crashed vessel. You get the picture? I'd love to find out where to buy them. Thanks!

I can't find a professional printer in the Chattanooga area who can print a flyer done on a Mac, in Pages. What are my options?
I really have no way to do this flyer, other than on a Mac, and I made this flyer for someone who lives in Chattanooga TN, and has been unable to find a printer who has a Mac.

I'm posting this for my sister. She is looking for a company like
American Frame but which is based in Canada. She loves what they do but shipping into Canada (along with the brokerage fees involved) is too expensive. She wants to be able to order a kit like they provide (4 sections of framing material, 'glass' etc) from someplace in Canada. It has to exist but my google-fu has failed me (and hers is much weaker than mine)

Having read a little about Vincent Van Gogh's life, I have a feeling there must be hundreds of technically proficient painters around with an interesting (and joyful) view on the world who will never be discovered because their personal story is not compelling enough. Where might I start looking for them and their work?
