What software should I use to replicate the delay/looping effect that this video employs? I would need a metronome monitor separate from the input mix. It would be amazing to tweak the length of the decay too.

I live in Madison WI and am looking to move to a larger city, under the impression that being in a larger city will provide me with more exposure and greater opportunities. I was thinking of moving to the outskirts of Chicago because it's close to my family in Madison and I love it there. I also miss Denver CO where I was born, but am unsure what kind of an art community it has. Does anyone know what cities are best for making a living as an artist? I have a degree in illustration but am also trying to get into gallery shows as well if that helps. Thank you very much for any advice.

Tattoo Filter; This question has a few parts; 1. Can the hive recommend a tattoo artist that does exceptional work in the South Florida area (I have heard of the Miami Ink Guys) 2. I am planning to get a half sleeve done and what like your suggestions/comments/antidotes about getting the work done. 3. I would also like to hear from the people that have a half sleeve/ full sleeve about how they picked the content of their tattoo and what went into the planning of it. Thanks in advance!

Suggestions for portrait painters in Vancouver or San Francisco? We're trying to find a painter to commission two portraits for an anniversary present. The painter should be within striking distance to either city and have portraits in their portfolio. And yes, we are generally thinking of paintings, but should you know of a fantastic photographer in the same vein, post it here too. [more inside]

Amateur artist needs help setting a price... I'm a Canadian college kid and an amateur artist. I got an email a few days ago from a musician in England asking me to design a CD cover for his band, based on him having seen a picture online of the only commissioned artwork I've ever done (a small painting that I sold for $125 American).
He's asked me to set my price, and I've got no idea. I'm not a professional by any means, and I'm just a kid, and pretty broke anyway, so I'd be happy with relatively little, but I don't want him to think he's getting some kind of bargain-basement deal. What should I take into account here, and how should I go about negotiating a price with him? Is there anything else I should know about this kind of transaction?
Thanks in advance.
