The walls of my apartment are seeming a little bare as of late, and I'm wondering where in the city I could go to pick up some nice art or prints to put up on them...

Museum stores and art print retailers (e.g.
art.com) sell reproductions of art in many forms. These include archival-quality prints, postcards, coffee mugs, t-shirts and so on. But sometimes I see a painting in a museum and I can't find any reproductions of it. What determines which pieces of art are available for reproduction and at what price?

Seeking NYC print shop recommendations for nearly one-off prints. I have about 20 pieces of different, mostly standard sizes -- nothing larger than 11 x 17 and B4 -- that I'd like to make a very limited number color prints of (1 - 3 each). I have an approximate budget of 10 dollars per print I'd like to hew closely to and a number of quality and care requirements.

During an episode of a Canadian home design/renovation show one of the designers visited a store in Toronto and was leafing through piles of art prints. Any idea of what that store is called and where it is located?

Clyfford Still is my favorite artist ever. Unfortunately, I am having a very difficult time finding prints of his work, except for the same 2-3 that always show up on sites like art.com. I've been looking for years. Any suggestions?

I was recently given a
print. It was one of at least a handful identical copies made in 1972 by a student. There's a blowup of a part of it
here. Knowing nearly nothing about art, I'm very curious to learn how was this made. The hatching & stippling scream computer to me, but that seems unlikely, given the time. It seems like it was done in CYMK, with a brown key, & the offset of the brown & yellow is a bit off. Can anyone shed some light on the process, start to finish, behind this?

I've been experimenting with various photographic processes for a few years now, and would like to begin selling prints of my work. Does anyone have experience creating their own giclee prints, or recommendations for a printer that they've worked with? (more inside, naturally)
