I'm a huge fan of science fiction book cover art (especially the 50s through the 80s) and I like to use ideas from them to make posters for my band.
If you need examples:
this should explain what I'm looking for.
I'm wondering if there are existing resources for science fiction cover art or general science fiction art that mirrors this sort of style and substance? I especially need resources that are fair use, free to modify etc. etc.
We use these posters to advertise our shows at places which usually have a cover charge -- so I will need content that I can modify to use "commercially".

Clyfford Still is my favorite artist ever. Unfortunately, I am having a very difficult time finding prints of his work, except for the same 2-3 that always show up on sites like art.com. I've been looking for years. Any suggestions?

With the joyous event of the election of a Rudd Labor Government here in Australia, I'm thinking of commemorating the win by taking the front page of a few newspapers and turning them into one of those hard wood posters you can buy from some music stores and poster shops. I am reliably informed that this process is called 'poster boarding' and from the few places I've looked at who do it professionally, this is going to set me back anywhere between $100 to $300
per poster. So I'm wondering if this is something I could do myself. If so, what do I need to buy, what do I need to do (a step by step process would be nice) and, importantly, how easy/hard will this be for a first-timer to do?

My boyfriend got a cool promotion but he's keeping the same office so I want to celebrate by giving him a new framed poster. Please suggest some good places where I could order one online. (The poster, not the frame.)

Movie posters normally carry images that look
hand-drawn. Even
'real' landscapes, or
people, are frequently represented in this style. Why do studios do this? And are these images really drawn by hand, or are they just photoshopped photos?

William Eggleston, man I love this guy. I've been to a couple of exhibitions of his work in London and thought they were great. His use of colour in documenting the South is astonishing. Where can I buy posters of his work?

We're looking for a cool poster of the periodic table.
This and
this are considerations, but we'd rather have something more interesting. A poster of one of the early designs would be especially neato.
