To archive some work in a class I'm teaching, I would like to record a series of video clips, burning each student's clips to their own rewriteable DVD as we go. Then, on the last day of class, I'd like to quickly finalize a DVD for each person that constains only that person's clips.

Is there unZIPping/unRARing software for the Mac that allows you to see what's inside of an archive file without extraction? Seems like double-clicking on archives with any software I've used immediately extracts the files within. I'd like to be able to preview those files first, and perhaps selectively extract, or not extract at all.

I have a large amount of family letters, photos, and documents dating from the late 1800s to the 2000s, with most ranging from the 1930s to the 1960s. Some are in fair condition, and I'd like preserve them for future generations. Most are in English, but there's a smattering of Hebrew and French, neither of which I can read. My questions inside.

The thing about the digital photography era is I no longer have hard copies of every single picture I take. This worries me. I'd like physical backups of the best of the billion or so pictures I've taken in the last five years. Is there a great and economical way to print several thousand DIFFERENT digital photos? Some online service? Some wonderful workflow?
