MovingFarAwayFilter: GF is dead-set on moving from Brooklyn to Cairo, Egypt, for at least a year. I'm pretty resistant to the idea since I love NYC and, if forced to move outside the US, there are hundreds of cities I'd rather move to. I'm looking for a streaming radio station playing the latest in Arab pop music. There used to be a fantastic one called Beirut Mood Radio a number of months ago. Sadly, it disappeared without a trace. Something in the vein of Hifa Wehbe would be fantastic. A shoutcast (or icecast) stream would be preferable. Windows Media doesn't work for me. Many thanks.

What are good resources for teaching myself to play the santur? I'm an American composer with no training in Persian music -- just a deep love for it and a gradually improving (self-taught) structural understanding of it.
