I just got a new ipod(classic) today, all the music synced fine and most of my podcasts too. However, i have 18 that won't sync and it keeps saying it can't find them even though they're all right there on itunes as i just downloaded them. I made sure everything was up to date, and even restarted itunes but still nothing.
If it matters i'm using a mac(2007/08?), with itunes 11.0.3, snow leopard.
Is there anyway i can get them to sync?

I have an iPhone5 and an original iPad, which I back up to my PC (running iTunes on Windows XP). However, now when I plug in either device to the PC and start iTunes, all the data is listed as "Other" (in an orange bar across the bottom of the window). Further, when I click "Back Up Now" the sync begins, then stops after a second or two with no error message. Can I recover from this without losing my data?

Apparently, I didn't keep the answers to my iTunes security authorization questions. I think I can guess my answers with a few more tries, but I might get locked out before I get there.
Will the wrong answer count reset back to zero after a wait time? Meaning, can I try again tomorrow, or will I still get locked out?

iTunes match question: If I "match" 40 gigs of music off of my laptop, I know I can then download tracks to my iPhone whenever I want, but could I ever re-sync it back to another Mac? How about a PC? Do those tracks have DRM on them?

Now I've signed up to iTunes Match, the only thing my iPhone and iPad sync with iTunes for is apps. Is there any point in me continuing to do this? Or can this be turned off and the apps deleted? What are the downsides if I do this?

Nitpicky question: I'm not real happy with the name of the iTunes section "Audiobooks" - I'm usually using it to stash stand up albums or other stuff that isn't music. I'd like to rename it, something like "Performances." Is there a way I can tweak my (English) language files to make this happen?

I have 300gb of music, a house, several Mac laptops, a Mac G5, a router, two iphones, an ipad, and several external HDs where the music is stored. I would like to be able to play music anywhere in my house, control it wirelessly without the laptops and update libraries as well as all my devices with whatever I like anywhere in the house, without having to drag out the external USB HD to plug into various laptops like I do now. I'm willing to buy equipment to let this happen. Bonus if it lets me move movies onto a USB stick to plug into my nifty new tv. Details under the fold.

I like that iTunes will automatically fill the free space on my iPhone with music, but I'd like it to do so only to a certain point, leaving a few hundred MBs available in case I want to shoot a quick video or download a particularly large app. Is this possible?

I love the new iOS4 capability of making and naming playlists on my ipod touch. I hate when I sync to iTunes on my computer and it wipes them all out. I have iTunes set to 'manually manage music and playlists' for my touch because I add/manage music on my touch from multiple PCs. If I check the checkbox to 'sync selected songs/playlists,' it tells me that all of my music will be wiped out.
Is there some way to allow my playlists to be kept on my device and preserve my ability to manually manage music without having to wipe out the entire music library

I have two kids. Each has an ipod touch. Planning on adding two more to the household (mom and dad). Problem: I created an itunes store ID for each kid. Looking backward, wouldn't it have been smarter to create ONE Apple ID for the family, so I can see what is being purchased? I had a recent breach in my credit card and had several unauthorized purchases from Itunes...having one account might have led me to see this fraud a little sooner. (apart from checking my credit card statement daily)
What do you multi-iphone-Touch families do? one account?
If the devices all get registered to one account, can one transfer a paid app from one device to another?
Will apps already purchased be lost if I consolidate the devices under a different username?
Any family Apple device strategies appreciated.

But I have some (a lot of) songs that have filenames not in english. Some are unicode and some are big5 (an asian character encoding).
