I'm looking for software for a high school math teacher: first, a better/newer test generator, and second, in-classroom programs, bonus points for apps for an Apple laptop and/or an iPod touch. Details inside.

I change playlists for an iPod Touch a lot, as I update them often. What is the best way to put new playlists on an iPod Touch? I must be doing it wrong because it is a pain.

Looking for top notch, detailed but fun games to play on an iPod Touch. Games like Tower Defense (Lost Earth) or the Angry Birds series, where you can make progress and pick up from where you left off.
Not games like Temple Run/Jetpack Joyride/Robot Unicorn Attack where you start from scratch every time (even if you do get upgrades or badges). I am not really interested in Plants vs Zombies or Tiny Wings for whatever reason.

Is 200 MB enough? I got an Ipod Touch for my birthday. It does have WiFi access but I don't want to have to run into a cafe every time I need to look something up online. So I'm in the market for a mobile WiFi hotspot and a wireless data plan. The cheapest plans available -- and I'm all about the cheap -- typically offer you c. 200 MB a month.

2nd generation iPod Touch isn't syncing properly. Is it worth fixing or should I just look into buying a refurbished one?

iPod Touch for mother-in-law. We've just decided to give my partner's mother an iPod Touch, and need your suggestions for apps and podcasts. She is a 65 year old woman, travels often, takes care of her grandson sometimes, and is new to all iPod technology. We also need your tips on how to set it up from afar tonight, and help her with the inevitable questions down the road.

Brand new iPod Touch 3G 32GB running 3.12 software and synched to the latest version of iTunes. Getting a "This movie could not be played" error notice when attempting to play an iTunes-purchased commercial video from a major television network (and for Youtube videos as well). Why?

I recently purchased an iMac and got a free iPod touch as part of the educational promotion. I don't have an iPhone, and am fairly locked into my current (non-ATT) contract, so I won't be getting an iPhone anytime soon. I've tried to figure out what the new software upgrade, 2.1, will do for me, but just from looking at the Apple site, it's difficult to figure out what I can do with the touch as it stands, and what I would gain by upgrading.

A friend recently bought a MacBook for college and, through Apple's promotion, got a free iPod Touch with it. I have a few questions: 1) If the iPod is opened, can it still be returned? 2) What will happen if Apple does take it back, since technically the owner payed nothing for it? (Store credit, perhaps?) and 3) If the iPod should somehow malfunction through no fault of the owner, would Apple replace it as they would any other purchased iPod still under warranty?

Looking to buy a
MacBook through Apple's education store. I need it for the upcoming school year. I'm stoked on the free iPod-touch but heard an upgrade is coming very soon. Is it worth it to wait for the new line of laptops? Does anyone know when this is expected to happen?
