What pants do people wear for very cold (0 °F / -18 °C, and colder) weather hiking? Just rain shell pants and wool long underwear? Surely there are insulated pants suitable for hiking?

I bought a pair of men's leather dress shoes with an elongated, narrow toe box last week, and now they're killing me. Something about the funky shape is causing the leather to "bite" down right beneath my big toes on both feet, leading to painful sores. I probably should've gone for one size smaller for a more natural fit, but I've already worn them for a week so I can't take them back. Any suggestions for how to fix this, or am I stuck just getting rid of them?

I'm a mid-twenties, relatively-tall, relatively-fit (6' 1", 180 lbs...but I run a lot) guy who has a shirt problem. During the colder months I really like wearing long-sleeve cotton shirts as a sort of base layer under other things. My problem? I can't find any brand that fits...either the arms are too short, or the shirt maker seems to presume that I'm going to have a beer belly to go along with my longer than average arms. I.e., what I'm looking for is something like the small size of
this, but with longer arms. I realize I could get larger shirts tailored down or go the bespoken route, but both of those options seem kind of overkill for what should really be a pretty standard product. Are there any brands that serve guys in my size by default?

I've only found help on how to Shrink stuff, not how to avoid it.
So the American Apparel medium t-shirts are too big for me even after a wash, but their small shirts are perfect pre-wash. They are 100% cotton and I'm wondering what I can do to not have them shrink at all. Can I hand wash them gently with detergent and then hang dry? Any experience or anecdotes would be great!

I'm looking for a photo of a Wendy's Jazz Cap, or even just first-hand recollections of them. These were apparently some type of multicolored painter's cap sold at Wendy's establishments in the late 80's(possibly 1988ish). There seems to be no trace of their existence online. Phone calls to the Wendy's Customer Service hotline have come back with a "try eBay" response. A few good but ultimately fruitless tries to track one down can be found on the
