Every now and then I go through my inbox and clear it out. I create events in Google calendar whenever there is an item I need to address in the future. I've never been 100% happy with this non-system for reasons I can't properly define. Is there some better place to offload everything that integrates with Android and windows/any browser? I'm looking for an app/web site to track restaurants where I want to eat. Requirements: Keeps a list of restaurants where I'd like to eat. Allows me to move them to "liked it" (so I'll remember to eat there again) or "didn't like it" (so I won't) lists after I've eaten there. Needs to have some sort of mapping function so if we're in the neighborhood and hungry, I can say "Oh, hey, we've been meaning to eat at [x, y, z] places. Which would you like to try?" [more inside]

Can you recommend an app for iPad that will be useful both as an art portfolio and a sort of book creator? I'm trying to figure out a way to display small works of art with their short individual (fictional) backstories. So, sort of a picture book. Sort of an art gallery. [more inside]

Iphone 4S, ios7. Videos app screen now shows videos as thumbnails, but I want my list view back. How can I switch the title view back to a simple list? Thanks.
I'm working on an app project and am having a really hard time doing the whole marketable memorable unique name thing. Any idea I have is absurd or taken. It's frustrating because I'm already working with a designer to bring the thing to life. It's a very visual, beautiful daily mood tracker. I might extend it to include a meditation guide. The idea is to be more tolerant and observant about your mood rather than rating how happy you are or aren't every day. [more inside]
So, a patron at my library wants to read our e-books on his old ipad. The ipad can only be uppgraded to ios 5.1.1 because it's from the first generation. The app we usually recommend (bluefire reader, I´m in Sweden so no overdrive-model here) requires ios 6.0. The app must be able to manage epub with DRM. Does anyone know if such an app exists?
GymAppFilter: My trainer made me a sort of mix-and-match table of exercises so that I can work out on my own. Basically, I pick one exercise each from 2 or 3 columns, do them in a circuit 3 times. Then pick more exercises. There are about 5-6 exercises in each column. I have Cardio, Legs, Arms, Abs/Core, Chest, Shoulders. Cardio can go with anything. The Shoulder stuff also involves Legs and Chest also (lunges with presses, for example), so he recommended I not pair Legs with Shoulders and Chest. Everything else can go together. [more inside]

Trying to help a friend find a solution. They need a simplistic solution to tracking some office items. They have several demo kits (15) that their team uses. I have a security concern related to using app's such as Grindr that pull location data. I've had a couple people "stalk me" to my specific location in the past. I would like to meet people in my "area" on these kinds of apps - but I want to set my actual location to somewhere else in the city. I had this working on my old jailbroken 3GS. But now that I have a new phone (IOS7) it would seem I'm screwed. Any ideas?
I have a very busy, hard to shut up brain and falling (and staying) asleep has always been a problem for me. A few months ago I came across the guided relaxation/hypnosis/meditation programs by Andrew Johnson in the google play store and started listening to them in bed as I fall asleep. They are wonderful. I want more, and I want to be able to do this more comfortably. [more inside]

In a previous version of the android operating system there was a function to be able to take a picture of a moving object and have its motion captured in one image. Like this. The most recent andoid OS (Jelly Bean) doesn't have this function any more (that I can find). Help me find something that can do the same thing! [more inside]
I'm helping an older gentleman get going with his first smart phone. He is traveling without a car, camping without power, battery consumption management on the phone is CRITICAL. The app needs to FIRST be simple to setup and use, second allow him to easily see what is using the battery, and third have tools to kill wasteful usage. Free would be nice, but willing to pay for a SIMPLE app that does what he needs without confusing him with bells and whistles. [more inside]
That's it. What are the worthwhile public transport/transit apps for iPhone for Vancouver (for a tourist, if it makes a difference)? Free preferably, but paid not a problem it the app is worth it. Thanks in advance.

I'm in the process of finishing the first version of my iOS minimalist Foursquare app. I'm wondering what is the best way to get beta testers for my app. I simply need feedback and ideas for improvement/changes to the app. The app is currently not in the App Store, but I want to make sure I get everything right, just before iOS 7 hits. What is the best way to do so?

We're looking for an app to streamline our current system. In an effort to curb our chronic clutter, my husband and I have devised a point system for household tasks. We earn points collectively (not in competition with one another), and redeem them for mutually enjoyable activities and purchases (a dinner out, a 6-pack, a trip to a museum, etc). We've been keeping track of points on paper, which is a bit tedious and generates a little clutter itself. It's also easy to forget if we marked points for a completed job, as we a just using hash marks to expedite point tracking. [more inside]
I'm taking Calc I this fall. I can borrow a graphing calculator for actual exams, but don't want to actually purchase one for day-to-day--or haul it around with me. I have an iPhone and a Nexus 7. Is there a graphing calculator app in one or the other app store that is clearly superior? I'm willing to pay, but under $10, ideally.

I've used Tweetdeck on my Android phone for as long as I can remember, but I read they were phasing it out a few months ago (since Twitter bought them) and as of lunchtime yesterday my app has finally stopped updating. Any suggestions on what the best app out there is? I'd like it to be free, but don't mind paying a few bucks for a really good app. The phone is a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, so it should be able to download anything.

I live in a major city with a ton of interesting gallery and museum exhibitions. I've too often found that I missed a show. Is there an iphone app that will easily keep track only of shows I'm interested in seeing, listing their opening and closing dates? Or has anyone found a successful way to keep track? Bonus: a reminder letting me know when they're closing soon. Also interested in evernote and google calendar solutions.

I want to be able to record measurements and events on my phone, and have that data automagically accessible on my computer (or the cloud). For example, I would record things like 1) exercise type, distance and duration, 2) tire id, position and pressure, 3) flea treatment application date, brand, and effectiveness. Then I would write scripts that would tell me 1) what kind of exercise I'm best at doing consistently, 2) whether the back passenger tire really does lose more air, even after switching tires, and 3) which flea tx works best and when to buy and apply the next round. The challenge, it turns out, is finding an app that can automatically write input back to my computer as a plain text file. Ideally I'd like a flexible app designed for data entry. Do I have to give up and use Documents To Go and Excel file format? Tell me it ain't so. [more inside]
