I used to use and love an iOS app called GroupShot that helped you magically combine the good parts of multiple photos into one to help fix issues like when people don't smile or accidentally blink or when they aren't all looking at the camera at the same time. The app no longer works right and I can't find any others like it! Anyone know of any other apps out there that do that? [more inside]

I'm looking for an equivalent to the You Are Your Own Gym body weight exercises app. I've been using the app for a couple of months now and I really like it - the exercises are explained in good detail and there is a good progression from very easy to challenging. There seem to be loads of apps available but I'm not sure which ones are any good. Which have you found useful?

I’m looking for a game, playable on my iPhone, with probably crazy specific requirements. I fell in love with and completed (twice, once with huts and once without) A Dark Room

I've recently created an iPhone app that's not a game, but falls more in the "Entertainment" category (it uses Twitter to predict the future). And I'm not sure where I should try to send it for review/exposure, as most review sites are game-oriented. I've tried the usual suspects (MeFi Projects, submitted to BoingBoing, shared on FB and Twitter), but am surprised at how quickly I'm running out of ideas for places to send this guy to. I'm looking for a great project management & time tracking app that meets these criteria:
1. Not cloud-hosted (i.e., must be installed on our own servers) for legal reasons.
2. Great iOS apps.
3. Capacity to handle a team of multiple people, not just a single individual's projects
4. Painless time tracking (with reporting for the manager)
5. Ability to create tasks or projects (either, I'm flexible), estimate time in advance, track actual time spent, and report on difference between estimated time and actual time. [more inside]

I was using Moves to track my walking and biking, etc, on my iPhone. It was great! Unfortunately, I felt I had to delete it once it decided to send all my data to Facebook. Are there any decent iPhone replacements for Moves? (I don't have a fitbit or anything except the iPhone (5S).)

I am having trouble understanding how matches are formed. If I am bisexual and it shows me pictures of people of both genders, does that mean or imply those people are interested in people of my gender, or does it just randomly show men and women when both are selected? Is the pool of people I am shown a pool of people who already said they liked me first and then people who haven't been asked only after those people? Does it ever show me a picture of someone who has already specifically said they don't like me? And along the same lines, does it sometimes (as it seems) show me a bunch of people who haven't yet had the opportunity to thumbs up or thumbs down me, and if they do thumbs me up, will it then tell me and them we matched at the same time? Thank you.
Postscript: Also - why so many matches and so few people initiating conversation?

After a complicated chain of circumstances involving a SIM migration, a grandfathered prepaid data plan that transferred from an iPhone 3G to a 4 to the current 5S, and many hours (no exaggeration) at the AT&T store while their employees talked to level 2 tech support, I was left with:
- A working iPhone 5S on AT&T, now getting LTE data but restored to factory settings.
- A recent encrypted backup from the phone, just before the wipe.
It is not
an option to restore the entire phone from the backup. Help me restore just the user data for selected apps. [more inside]

A friend runs a small professional organization with about 60-80 members, and is looking for a way to more easily manage membership. She is hoping to find software or a web service designed to do these things:
- Most importantly: allow members to pay an annual membership fee online. She also needs to be able to look up who has paid and who hasn't.
- Allow members to log in and update contact information and other info (such as number of accredited hours).
- Email all members, download a list of members, and so on.
Right now members are paying by cheque through the mail, and it's a lot of paperwork. I imagine there is an inexpensive web service out there that would be perfect for this. Can you recommend anything? We're in Canada, if it matters. Thanks!

Is there an Android app out there that would allow you to touch the screen (either a big icon or the entire screen) that would play back a selected sound file when tapped? The quicker the response time the better.
And if it has options for multiple zones (like making a custom-made Simon), even better.

I'm getting a Fitbit Flex soon and am planning to use its silent alarm feature so my partner can keep snoozing undisturbed while I rise and shine. I'd still like to have a noisy alarm as a backup just in case, though. Is there an Android app available that can do either of the following things:
1) notices that I'm already up (via the motion sensor, or unlocking the screen) and will skip any upcoming alarms or
2) has a really quick way to skip the next alarm (say, from the notification bar or a widget on the home screen) - if I have to open the app I'm likely to forget.
I believe KitKat has feature #2 in the stock clock, but my S3 Mini is still on version 4.1.2 and I'm not sure if/when an update will be coming.

I’m interested in the DURR
, a simple display-less “watch” that vibrates every 5 minutes to influence your perception of the passing of time. Since DURR is not currently shipping and I already own an iPhone with a clock and a vibrating buzzer, I feel like this should be doable with an app. There’s already a Pebble app
so I’m sure it’s not crazy.
If this doesn’t currently exist, how hard might it be to write one myself? I’ve compiled things in XCode before but not written my own from-scratch Objective-C, so I’d be approaching this as a newcomer.

Background: I work for a (small) company and was put in charge of helping manage the creation of a smartphone app, related to our business (both clients and non-clients would find it relevant) and geared at business professionals in the US. I was given this task due to capacity and not skill, so it's been a learning curve. An outside developer was brought in to actually create the app (for both iOS and Android). Both versions are functionally identical (with identical text in the respective stores) and sell for the same price ($1.99, if that's relevant).
It's now been a few months since the apps went live in their respective stores. Our PR firm has been helping promote the app to generate sales/spread the word. As it turns out, the iOS version is outselling the Android version by a factor of 12 to 1. Given that Android appears to have a much larger market share than Apple, this seems a little odd.
I'm looking for input from those who have sold apps in both stores to see if this is akin to their experience or any resources that might help explain why this is. I've done some searching on my own (both here in the green and on the web) but haven't found anything concrete.

We need an APP that will let us sync between us a log of when our pup goes potty (and other puppy things if available) since he leaves for work at 3 and crates our pup, and I come home at 5 and take over for our pup. I cant find it, but there has got to be an app that will easily let us track all things puppy related and share it between the two of us. Maybe not even an app made for dogs? Thanks!

The alarm clocks apps I have tried are not suitable as they require you to choose a time (e.g. 8am) not a duration (e.g. 8 hours), and those that do display the duration (e.g. Rise), don't display it until you enable the alarm. How can I best track photos of a medical issue, to see changes over time? The photos need to be taken many times a day, and easily compiled so I can see the variation between them. They should not be public, but ideally I'd like to share the photos with my doctors. The photos need to be time stamped, or the resulting archive needs to make the times and dates clear. The process should be as simple and fast, as it will be repeated 6x a day or more. Any ideas on how to make this as painless as possible? [more inside]
