Quitting a prestigious job I really enjoyed but grew incompatible with, starting a new one that has more promise, but is still an unknown. I've listened the hell out of Moody Blues' "Story In Your Eyes" and Simple Minds' "Don't You." What other songs capture the essence of a bittersweet ending and an exciting but uncertain future?

I've come to the conclusion that some therapy/counselling would help me a lot, but as a life-long introvert I find the idea very intimidating and nerve-wracking. Looking for tips and encouragement on starting therapy, and recommendations for a good, preferably female and affordable, therapist in Vancouver BC.

How do I 'get better' when I have conflicts with my own support system? My mom wants me to get better, but I'm easily irritated by her and now I'm moving to be close to her while seeking the help I need. TL;DR in the end because I just have a lot of issues :/

I need professional help with trying to save my marriage to a person who has had profound anger, anxiety, and depression issues since childhood. I need help with leading her toward restarting therapy (and potentially toward reconsidering her insistence on no chemical treatment). Our relationship is in serious jeopardy and we have a child.

Some people say: “If you have doubt, it is there for a reason.”
Other people say: “Everyone has doubt. Don’t miss a golden opportunity because you don’t feel ready. No one ever feels 100% ready for anything until it happens.”
What is the line between a rational decision and a missed opportunity, and how do I tell the difference?

(23-year-old straight male) After moving to a new city 2 1/2 years ago and suffering a series of setbacks which I've mostly rebounded from, I've found it impossible to make any progress at all with anyone of the opposite gender. I have my shit together, am well-liked by most despite having always been pretty socially awkward and anxious, and am thought of by my friends as smart, funny and charming, but I just can't get beyond the friendzone. What am I doing wrong? Special snowflake details inside.

I've lost interest in sex with my boyfriend, and find things increasingly uncomfortable in that department. What should I do?! I'm a 28 year old female, and have been in a long term committed relationship with my current boyfriend for about 3 years now. I'd been a virgin up until about 2 and ½ years ago. My upbringing was uneventful, and I've never had any traumatic experiences that I can recall involving sexuality, however I have always felt embarrassed about sex related things, which is why before my current boyfriend I always just made out with whoever I felt like.

I still get smiley when he texts me and he makes me laugh, he's gorgeous, but I have these sudden adrenalin rushes and an overwhelming panicky feeling that I have to end the relationship immediately. I asked for three weeks apart to clear my head, and we made it to two before I wanted him here again... but the panicking is back!

I'm taking 150 mg of Seroquel which has seemed to be helping. But i need to lose preexisting weight..about 40-50 lbs. All i read on the web are horror stories about people gaining 50-100 lbs even when they are doing cardio and weights. My question...anybody here either themselves or know people who have actually been able to lose weight while on seroquel if they followed the usual healthy eating and exercise 3-5 times a week?
